Default Sub or Dilute, my Quandary

To Sub or Dilute... So anyhow, here are my facts. I am around 5'8 and weigh 230 pounds, smoked at least once or twice a day for 6 years, high quality stuff. Have abstained for 22 days so far with very little exercise. I have read both threads on subbing and diluting, but I am still not sure which to run with. I got a Whizinator just the other day and was all set to go that route with a dehydrated sample. Then a pal tells me they got called out on being 2 degrees off temp with the Whiz, so I am wary of subbing. I have taken two home First Check tests with my first pee of the morning (although I wake up in the night to go at least once, sleep disorders to boot), one 3 days ago the other 1 day ago. Both came back with very very very very very faint lines in the THC box, imo equivalent to a photo finish in racing. Tomorrow I am gonna test run the dilution method and home test to see if I can get a better line, doubt any of this will help with my peace of mind until the real thing is done. Real thing will probably be in two days with a scheduled time so I can prepare. So I was just looking for some specific feedback from the experts on which I should go for, these threads have been great for information... Thanks in advance.

Is your test unobserved or observed? This is 'need to know' for proper advice. If it is for pre-employment, the probability is that it is unobserved. If that's the case, then subbing is cake. Don't worry, your buddy failed because he didn't practice enough. Countless people here, including myself, have subbed easily... so if it is a viable option it is the best option.

I am 99% sure that it is unobserved, any good leads on digi-thermometer that would be good as a double check? I have read that some beep and that sounds bad for this situation.

Go with subbing. Order Quick Fix 4.0. You don't need a thermometer...it comes with its own temp strip and proper heating instructions. Worked like a charm for me.

I have the model without the electronic temperature monitor/controller (Whizz not Urinat), but it does have a temp strip. From what I have read one heat pad on the underside should do the trick. Any extra advice on the temperature control? Keeping this correct over a period of one-two hours is my main concern.

My advice would be to spend the $40-50 bucks to get the quick fix which has a temp strip on it. Honestly, it takes all the guess work out of it. It's worth the money.

Technically, you could get a digital thermometer and rip the speaker out of it.

I got a digi-thermometer today, opened it up and cut the speaker wire, works great with no beeps now. I tested one of my own samples for a temp check, and it read 96.4 which seems low... How hot are hand warming pads supposed to get, because they don't seem very warm to me on a test run. Thanks, still not sure which method to go with...

What do you think the accepted range is?

Not sure on temp range, but it will be at a Labcorp facility. I can't find very much research on Puck Technology's dehydrated synthetic. Will it pass this facilities tests? I have read it should, but should is not an option.
