Default How important is it to heat quickfix 4.0?

I ask this because at my work they do not check temps, its a simple 3 seconds dip test and they usually only need a few drops of piss.

If the QF is just room temp, will it still work? Does it need to be heated to actually work? Not heating the QF would make it perfect for me, as I carry it around in a small Visine bottle I take to work every day.

It is not heat activated. I am curious why you would think that. If they don't check the temp then knock yourself out.
