| Pre-employment test coming up Monday. Been practicing like crazy, all prepared to sub and fI inally get info on the place I'm going to. It's an Occupational Health center of a local hospital. According to their website, "direct observation may be used during urine collection. A person may watch you...". Does this mean that someone will be directly eyeballing my phallus while I evacuate or more like the scenarios I have commonly read on this thread where the nurse is on the other side of the door? It also claims need for 3 oz. instead of the typical 2 that I usually hear about. Any comments, advice? [Mod note: Only post a question once. If it is in response to an existing thread, then post it to that thread, if it is a separate question, then start a new thread. I put your duplicate post in "the Tank"] |

| Direct observation may be used. They just don't tell you that they need probable cause to do that. Cause would be: Testing dirty for that employer before Allowing the collector to see adulteration/substitution materials Giving a specimen that is not up to temperature or over temperature Giving a specimen that is off color (blue, green, etc.) Giving a specimen that contains obvious adulterants (visible powder, granules, etc.) Admitting to substituting/adulterating a specimen ...shit like that. I tell people I need about an inch in the bottom of the cup. I also tell people I prefer about a half cup full. Really, I need 30ml, 45ml or 60ml, depending on what the lab and employer require. EDIT: Sorry Grillmeats. I tanked his other (nearly identicle) post and put your response to it here. I didn't realize that he had posted this question twice until I answered this one and lew scannon pointed out the other one. |
