I recently took a urine drug test approximately 80 hours (3 and 1/3 days) after smoking marijuana for the first time. I took 2 hits from a bong and did not get high. This drug test was completely random and I had no idea about it, so I havent really been hydrating properly.


I am wondering what are the chances that i fail the drug test...this being the first time in my 19 year old life that i have ever smoked weed, (other than eating a cake with weed boiled in the oil over 2 years ago) I have never done any other drug before in my life either.

I need to know my chances in order to drop out of a certain program that I am in. Failing the drug test will ruin my current career path.

thats cutting it close. whats your weight, height, metabolism and if you know your percentage of body fat that would help, and did you exercise within those days, and if not, do you eat big?

2 hits from a completely clean system eh...Cake from two years ago doesn't count cause its two years past so don't fret that. You might have a decent chance of passing honestly, since you were totally clean there's a good chance you cleaned out enough to pass your test. Go buy a home test and see what that says if you want, otherwise just wait it out. Sorry man, that totally sucks.

If you know you have to take a drug test at any point in the future quit smoking! Read the stickies and never start up again until you're completely in the clear, you never know if you might have to retest due to an error.
If in doubt, ask yourself this question: What's more important, getting out of the mess you're in or getting high?

Im 5'7 about 155 pounds...fast metabolism, and i exercized once (25 minute jog, 50 minutes of cardio basketball about 40 hours after smoking...30 hours before the drug test) between the time that I smoked and the time that i took the drug test. I dont know anything about body fat, but I am very fit and in good shape and exercise every weekday.

I'm about to go out and take a home test from CVS...first check marijuana.


Also i was wondering if the test comes up positive, if there is a way to say that i was just in a room and other people were smoking, but I personally was not smoking...

I think you will be fine, pending on the cutoff, but a totally clean system, I really wouldn't worry that much.

I just took the "First Check: Home testing kit for marijuana" and it came up definately negative.


There were about 5 hours inbetween my lab drug test and my take at home drug test....I urinated only once inbetween the two tests.


Even though this take home test came up negative, could there still be a possibility that the lab test is positive? with the 5 hours and one bathroom trip inbetween?

I still think you will be fine. You just won't feel totally at ease until you hear it from the employer.

You will pass. If your home test showed negative, and you only had two hits, ever (for all practical purposes), you will pass. Don't stress out about it. I totally agree with 29yeartoker.

Even your weight, height, metabolism; none of that matters in your case. There is no way you tested anywhere near the cutoff level.

if you are always that active then i don't see why you wont pass.

His activity level has squat to do with it. He only took two hits! That isn't enough to worry about if you were a professional couch potato.
