Hi,

I smoked pot twice in my life - several times in late february of this year, and again a few hits this past Thursday. I have a test coming up on Monday (i.e. about a week and 3 days after my last hit) from an employer, and they want me to take a 6633N SAP 10-50 gs/ms test. Do you think I will pass? I have the option to postpone when I start on the job, but I'd rather not take it unless necessary.

So its a pre-employment test? Sounds like you could, and most likely will have to, sub. GCMS is much more sensitive so having smoked that recently doesn't bode well for you passing normally.

Well wait, its a 10-50? I wish sec3 was here to answer this but I believe a 10-50 is a 10 panel instant screen with a 50ng/ml cutoff level subjected to GCMS if it shows a positive for anything. Enter that code into the search box and see if you get any hits, that sounds like a routine testing.

I think you should pass. You havent really smoked much at all.. You need to do some exercising tho. THC sticks to your fat and slowly releases into your blood stream, thene ventually your urine. Exercising speeds up this process a lot. So do some running. then a couple days before the test be lazy. Eat fatty foods. This slows down the releasing of the THC a bit. So if you have any THC still left in ya, it wont be much.
The morning of the test, start drinking. Dont waste your time drinking days up to the test, doesnt matter. Drink a lot of water/juice hours until your test. If you can, get some Vitamin B complex to take the morning of your test. This colors your piss a nice yellow color. Without it, your urine would be really clear from drinking all that water, so they may get suspicious.
Also, dont know if this works, but i hear taking a few aspirin a few hours before the test can help "cover" some of it in your urine. Dont know if thats true, but I do it to be safe.
Thats all i can really say, i learned from the experts on here, so if im wrong in any of this please correct me.

Is there a way for me to do the GCMS in some lab to see if I pass or not [if not, then I'll go ahead and postpone or sub, since I'll have no other choice]. Like can I just walk into a lab and ask for a GCMS test?

The detection period for a one-time high on an otherwise clean body is only 3-5 days.

There should be no reason you can't pass. If you have doubts, take a home test. It is the same for THC as the test you are taking for the employer.

Ah ok, thanks, I hope so!

I'm just worried about an accidental false positive on their initial test, and that causing the sample to be sent to the sensitive GC/MS test. Do you think that will pass too?

I'm just paranoid. Today I did a home test (FirstCheck) and I passed it. Is that what the 10-50 gc/ms uses for the first stage?

What is the chance of a false positive.
