So i went to quest diagnostics to take my test the other day and the results came back negative but they were diluted. Now i didnt drink that much water, like 36 oz, and i was wondering why that happend. anyway i am aloud to retake my test, i am 5'9 167 lbs im not sure what my metabolism is and i dont workout, although i do work in a kitchen where i am constantly moving and active. By the time i take my test i will have 40 days clean.

Problem being that i used to smoke alot before this test, somewhere around a quater a week, and the bud was dank as hell. anyway i guess what im asking is since i dont want to dilute another test does everyone think ill be fine, or do they think that i have a chance at failing? any help on the matter would be greatly appreciated

Get a home test. Test yourself tomorrow morning. If you test negative at home, great, you are clean. If you are positive at home tomorrow, drink exactly 1/2 of what you drank before the last test. You should be ok.

For the record, I believe you are probably clean. However; test yourself. Don't rely on my guess.

I took a home test this morning, first urine of the day begining of the stream to fill the 30 milliliters and got a very faint line. i would consider it to not even be a line but u could see traces. im really scared and i cant fail this test do u think that maybe drinking some water will help since last time i went it came back diluted. idk how this is possible i have given it over 30 days right now almost 40 and im still kinda dirty in my morning urine. if anyone has any suggestions on what i should do please let me know im really losing my mind here, im gonna take another home test in a couple days with the middle of my stream to see what happens, but if not is there anyway maybe a little bit of dilution will help? any help would be appreciated sorry for making this so long.

As I and others have posted many times on this forum, that sometimes it could take over 60 days to be clean. Everyone's body is different.

Have you really read the dillution thread? That will really help you get the technique together and you will probably find out what you are doing wrong to come up dilute on your test. Drinking lots of water by itself just won't cut it. To me you were a chronic smoker so it may take longer to get out of your system.

took another test the next day and passed 100 % it was late at night like 10 pm after working all day, i didnt drink excessivly just like i normally would so i will have to see tommorow i might sub anyway we shall c im goin to test myself in the am. anyway i have been practicing the dilution technique so i have a few options i will let everyone know thanx for the help.
