Yeah, I want to know how much fat has to do with passing a urine test.

I've smoked for the better part of the past 30 years. Not every day all of those years, but a whole lot of it.

I've read one this forum that THC is stored in fat cells. I'm overweight.

Anticipating a career change, one that will likely come with a urine screen or hair test, I stopped smoking the 1st of March. I would lke to start looking for another job - but it would be pointless if I can't pass the pre-employment testing.

So, with as much smoking as I've done over the decades, combined with the vast quantity of fat cells, will I EVER pass a urine screen? Or will that THC be held in the yellow goo in the fat cells forever and ever?

I've read these forums, looking for situations where people have passed drug screens without substitution. I subbed once and I was successful, but I'd really rather not to that again - it was horridly stressful.

Or should I insist on a hair test after 90 days, which is just a couple of weeks away?

It has almost everything to do with it. THC is fat soluble and stored in fat cells. As a rule of thumb, those that are overweight or inactive usually take longer to get clean.
You are an excellent candidate to buy some home drug tests either online or a store. Online is cheaper.

Yes you will eventually get clean if you stop smoking, it will probably just take longer than someone that is not overweight. It is not held there forever.

I don't think you will be in any position to insist on anything. They probably have a policy and if they let you get a hair test, this could be viewed as giving you different treatment than other employees. You will get clean eventually. It has been 67 days since you stopped so test yourself with the first void of the day.
