Hello to all on the board. I was back on here last year and used the wonderful substitution method. Anyone that wants to know...it's the best way for sure.

Anyway, I just got a new job offer, (dream job actually) and the owner just informed me of a drug screen I need to take. Definitely gonna sub, but just have a couple questions.

1. I'm going with the Quick Fix since my GF takes some prescriptions that I'm not sold on, (pain meds and such). Last time my friend..a girl, (sex doesn't matter!), did it for me. Anything bad on Quick Fix? Seems like it's good to go.

2. Any chance I get anything other than a urine test? It's a small company of three people and I'm coming on board as director of sales. Blood/Hair are expensive right?

3. Do you think it will be observed? My last one was cake, just unsure if they work the same where I am now. I moved states from the last time I posted. NOTE: this is directed @ Sec3 mostly due to the industry he's in.

Alright, now I'm getting a little worried. The owner called me and said he is setting up the test and gave me the specific location of the facility. It is some rinky dink place. Not a LabCorp, Concentra, etc.

My question is do you think they will observe? I'm worried about it b/c I don't think I can pass on dilution, (just got blazed last night.)

Should I call them annonomously and ask?

Pre-employment test usually aren't observed. I don't see where you have much choice but subbing. Good luck.

Thanks 1 Toke. My last one, (@ LabCorp), was absolute cake w/ subbing. I was just concerned b/c it's a hole in the wall place that I never heard of. Didn't know if they'd be jerks about it. Just got my Quick Fix yesterday. Should I just use the bottle it came in or another container?

Just remember, it isn't the facility that dictates the procedure, it is the circumstances of the test.

Pre-employment tests are not observed unless you do something wrong like give an off-temp specimen, off-color (blue/green) specimen, show subbing stuff, show adulteration stuff, etc...

It is always good to see when someone applies the knowledge learned here successfully!

Thanks Sec3..you are tremendous help to all that will listen, um I mean read. I was just concerned b/c of the facility, but you have put my worries @ ease. I practiced last night w/ the Quick Fix, (first timer here), by just crotching and the double tighties, had it up to 96 in a little over an hour. Put them in this morning before I went to work, (I'm going when I get out), and it was 95 in an hour. I am ready to rock!

Holy shit...that's all I gotta say.

So I took it yesterday @ the rinky dink lab..FYI, they suck. So the lady @ the desk tells the older office manager lady, "the boss didn't specify if he wanted it observed or not". The older lady then says, "well if we can't get ahold of him, we'll just have to observe to be safe". I almost fainted on the spot. I'm thinking to myself how f'ed I was and if they'd be like "why is this guy wearing 2 pairs of tighty whiteys?". So they get him on the phone and I'm like "please God don't let her check that box".

She didn't! I went in the cavernous bathroom and used my Quick Fix 4.0 and it came out @ 98 handed it to her..shaking like a leaf I might add. Besides the whole observation mix up thing it was hands down the easiest test ever.

Thanks to all and subbing is the best, that is with out observation of course.

Sounds like they were just entertaining themselves, at your expense. I really am amazed that anyone would observe a pre-employment test without cause. Either these two ladies were really stupid or they were testing you to see if you would walk out.

If you'd have seen the place, you would definitely got with the former. It was like walking into somebody's house to take a test. Very weird. My new boss and I even laughed about it when I got my written offer last week.
