I attached a couple photos of the tests I took today. The left is my dilution attempt (you can see the lighter color and the darker line) The right is my sample from first thing in the morning, obviously more concentrated and much lighter line. Now, is the line in the morning sample satisfactory to pass so that I don't need to dilute? Obviously the line is there, and like many I'm paranoid as to the "degree of line" needed to pass and not be sent for the GC/MS confirmation test which would surely doom me.

Any opinions? The likes of sec3 and other professionals would be greatly appreciated! Thanks to everyone!


(btw - is there a specific amount of creatine supplement one should take to "mask" the dilution attempt? How about salt in gatorade and rolaids etc... any specific amount to keep the electrolytes up in dilute urine to keep the specific gravity elevated into the necessary range?)

Thanks to both of you!

I did end up diluting a bit... hopefully this will not cause a dilute sample - I drank the 32 ounce strip drink from GNC (a waste of money, some say, though I suppose I did it for piece of mind), then 64 ounces of gatorade with one tablespoon of salt in each 32 ounce bottle and then another 32 ounces on the way to the testing center. Even though I drank all of that I wasn't urinating that frequently - could it have been the salt? I urinated maybe 4 times before testing myself at home which was at least as dark of a line in the "dilute" picture I posted above and the color was much darker than the "dilute" sample above. The sample I ended up giving at the testing center was pretty light, but not nearly "clear"... If I had know it was going to go as it did I would've substituted and saved myself a lot of worrying! The collector simply had me go into the room, and urinate. He asked no questions, didn't have me empty my pockets, didn't check for temperature did absolutely nothing but have me watch him fill two sample containers with my specimen and have me initial them.

I do have one question about this. Why 2 specimens? Is that basically one for the first immunoassay and then if positive the other for the GC/MS? Just curious. (sec3... might you know about this?)

I'm pretty darn positive I won't have problems with it being positive... my only worry is it being dilute. I did the whole aspirin, rolaids, salt to gatorade and loaded with creatine over the past 5 days (today taking about 40 grams throughout the day) so I'm hoping those efforts will make sure the sample will not test as dilute!

Thanks to everyone, this site was a great help! After all of this I and definitely - as my screen name alludes to - scared clean! No more weed for me!

You drank a shipload of fluid. You will be very lucky if you don't come up diluted.

the drug test called for a split specimen. That way you can have the second sample sent to a second lab if you don't agree with the first lab's results.

Thank you for your reply sec3. The strip drink, I'm guessing, induced what I'd call extreme diarrhea - over 2-3 hours I had many pure liquid bowel movements. Also, as I said in the other post, I barely urinated 3 times before testing myself at home which produced quite dark urine (not the neon yellow as others say). With these bits of info do you think I stand any better of a chance not to have a dilute result? sec3, I truly respect your opinions, thank you again! (truth be told, if I do receive a dilute result the only thing that will happen is that I will have to retest at my preemployment physical which is in about a month, so at that time I should have no need to dilute as I'm already technically negative without diluting but I was too unsure to take that chance. And thanks very much for the comments! I guess the only thing to do now is to wait and see what happens.

And the verdict is -- I PASSED!!!!

No dilution, no nothing..... So relieved..............

Thanks to everyone on here who posted their various methods/success rates etc etc. I'm free to move on with life now and have totally given this stuff up... it's not that I didn't enjoy it but it just isn't worth the anxiety!
