Actually, you should not go in with just 30 mls. Some tests ask for 45 mls, some 60 mls. He should go in with a minimum of 60 mls of urine. Also, if you give them reason to think you are up to something, they can make you frisk yourself. I am almost positive that is what Sec3 has posted before.

OK... Another unusual question for ya, sec3....

You say "nothing floaing in the urine"... What if the testee were to pass a kidney stone (or part of one) while they were giving a sample for a UA?

Could it be disqualified or the person made to retest or what?

(You're probably thinking I'm your boss giving you a pop quiz right about now! )

OK, I reread your post and you specified "powder or sediment", and a kidney stone would be neither. I'm still curious about how you'd deal with it, though.

Wow, sec3 works at Labcorp? Crazy.
(psst, I took around 2 hits 10 days ago and have drank quite a bit of water since then. didn't get a dilute result. before that, I had only smoked once successfully, and that was at least a month before. my chances at Labcorp?) Sorry for the OT.

Darque, most of the time with kidney stones when they're able to pass, break down/come out looking like small black granules of sand. (Larger ones are surgically removed or a laser type procedure is done) So I suppose if someone were to have them, they could have black granules that look like sediment. Since people with stones usually get a small strainer that catches the granules to be analyzed later (to determine the make up), your question has me wondering if a drug test lab would have the ability to determine the make up or if they would even bother?

mct, I don't think Sec3 works at LabCorp but is a tester, hence all of the knowledge.

Passing a kidney stone is akin to having a baby on the pain scale. I sincerely doubt that someone would be going to a drug test while in that much pain. Besides, they would have a doctors excuse if they went to a physician after the "donation" and the doctor determined that the donor was passing kidney stones.

I can vouch for the statement on pain. I passed my first stone last november. After all was said and done the doc told me, "The good news is you dont have any more stones to worry about right now. The bad news is you have an 85% chance of having them in the future." So now i regularly drink a ton of water. Which actually makes me wonder..... Sec3, is that a viable excuse if a test comes back diluted? I imagine it is a commen one.
