Hi all. I have to take a preemployment test in a day at a LabCorp location in Tampa so I bought a TestClear powdered urine kit.

Questions are:

Will they frisk me?
Do they monitor?
How much pee will they want? Kit holds 50ml...

Just in case I intend on downing a Vale 4x so I have that as a backup.

What do you guys think? Any experiences with LabCorp?

Sounds like a cake walk... How long do they give you in there? Anybody have any experience with using those heaters in the kit? Do they get real hot if you crotch 'em? Go off the scale?

my american arse only knows the english scale, 2 oz is good
they will time you, but stay calm and everything will be ok, i took like a min.
crotching it will work for sure as long as its up there tight and u keep it there for 2 hours at least
keep it beetween ur balls and arse if ur a guy and under the boob is female
it is a cake walk and i passed twice with real pee and once with premixed synthetic premixed quickfix, dont know bout that kinda powder though, lol

What everybody else said above to your original questions.

I wouldn't crotch the heat pads, they might get too hot, and you don't want a singed sac . Heat first, then crotch when at right temp, if you've practiced, you'll have no trouble maintaining temp.

You usually have 4 minutes to complete the task, and it usually has to be between 90 and 100 degrees.

Oh yea, and if you have ANY test coming up, QUIT NOW! Is this worth jail or losing this $$$ ? NO! If you think so, you'll probably end up like this .

I've used the testclear powdered and it works perfectly well. However, The lab tech drew a line on my cup, knowing this ahead of time, I purchased two vials of testclear to insure I gave the tech enough and didn't have to go through the, well thats all i have in my bladder speech. By the time I arrived at the lab and was taken back to give a sample, mine was over 100 degrees. Trick is not to panic, swirl it around and blow on it without sounding like you are blowing on it.

I did a AbCorp UA two days ago. The lady giving me the test allowed me as much time as I needed, and was very patient.
They fully realize that some people have a hard time going whizz while someone else is in the room, and as such, they'll wait as long as necessary, within reason.

You can also ask them to turn on the sink faucet to mask any sounds you might make (like poking a hole in the rubber where you have a subbed sample or blowing on the sample to cool it down).

We give approximately 4 minutes. if you haven't produced by then, we offer you a glass of water (8 ounces every 1/2 hour), and let you wait (up to 3 hours) in a waiting area until you can produce a specimen.

The water is shut off. No running water while you are alone in the bathroom. If the test needs to be monitored (not observed, but monitored; there is a difference), then the monitor can run the water to help a donor.

Observation means actually watching the urine flow from the body into the cup. This is done when substitution or adulteration is suspected or when a donor has failed a past test and is now taking a return-to-duty test.

Monitoring means someone is in the restroom to ensure no one else comes in through a second door and/or to ensure the donor does not run the water or flush. Monitoring is used when there is more than one entrance/exit from a restroom and/or in a multi-stall restroom where you cannot secure all the water sources.

sec3 - question...how would substitution be suspected? are there any signs that someone may be substituting with powdered urine such as the one mentioned in this post, assuming the temperature is in the right range and you don't hear them fiddling with something in the bathroom?

Off color (blue or green), off temperature, powder or sediment floating in the urine, hearing a bottle drop, seeing hand warmers in the pockets, etc..
