Hello. I want to thank you all in advance for the advice. I have been smoking everyday for like 13 years. I am 31 years old...six foot 3....260 lbs.... I quit smoking on April 27th...I actually took two drug tests for two different employers...both through quest......first one after 4 days clean ...second after 11 days clean.....I used N2's method...
Ok here is the deal..I was hired by both jobs...I accepted both jobs..I started at the second job (May 9th was the test date for this one..so I was 11 days clean) my home test said i was clean (dirty on first void, clean after drinking a bit) anyway...I took the test May 9th, and now it is May 23rd. I started working there on May 14th, so I am almost on my second complete week there (I get my first paycheck Friday) I am still bugging out because I am pretty big.......I haven't heard anything yet (it has been 14 days since I have been tested) I was actually flown halfway across the country for training...and have met the person who would get the results multiple times...do you think that it is ok for me to start smoking again? has anyone doing a pre-employment at quest found out two weeks later they failed? I guess I can wait..but it's a holiday weekend and it seems like 14 days is a long time for a positive result to come through.......if anyone took longer than 2 weeks to get their preemployment results..please let me know.....I am still nervous because I love this job....thanks in advance

The average time for results from Quest for a drug test is 24 hours. You should be fine.. if the employer hasn't said anything, therefore you should be ok. Don't mention it to the employer.. by this time.. I'm pretty sure you passed. Heck they already spent alot of money on you. You think they would do that if you failed?

TRUE....they did spend alot on me already....i've already flown there....flown back...flown there...flown back.....plus hotels and rental cars.....way over $3000 already...and I get paid tommorrow....I was just scared that the HR department hadn't checked the results yet or something......and by all logic...I shouldn't have passed in the first place

You should be gold. First paycheck is the general rule that I've read. Be sure you know the random test policy of your company though (if they have one). Otherwise, you better have some QF 4.0 handy.

Ditto on what QueenJo said, typical turnaround for a lab like quest is 24-72 hours.

Oh yea, and if you have ANY test coming up, QUIT NOW! Is this worth jail or losing this $$$ ? NO! If you think so, you'll probably end up like this .

sweet.....there is no random testing policy here....just the initial.......I am so happy....so I guess I can smoke when I fly home this weekend....thanks
