So I tested at Labcorp for pre-employment after 9 days clean - before that I'd been clean for 3 weeks, and tend to smoke about 3-4 times a week, on and off. Have a pretty good metabolism, am an athlete who exercises 4-5 times a week (mostly soccer and running), and tend to exercise right after I smoke. 5'9, 160 pounds. Eat a lot of red meat as well, even though I knew jack about creatine before.

Tested on four days' notice for Labcorp (fucking ridiculous), and used the dilution method. Popped about 8 500 mg aspirin over the 4 hours prior to the test, as well as the 12 rolaids. Drank about 90 mgs of liquid throughout the morning (6 am until 11:30, when I pissed), mostly gatorade with salt in it. Took a few vitamin B as well, piss color was not a problem.

I'm pretty sure I flushed the metabolites out of my system, but am worried about over-dilution. Would Labcorp reject my sample at the site because of the dipstick results, or would they include that in the final results?

Thanks a million for the dilute methods, I tried my best to time it right but had a crazy time getting out there. Please let me know what your thoughts are - I'm supposed to start Tuesday and am tearing myself up in the meanwhile.

At least give me an idea on how I'll be notified. Do they call you only if you test positive, or do they call regardless?

UPTWN, I'm having this same problem, asking questions but not getting any answers. I'm in the same situation as you. I think I may have over diluted my urine also. will that be considered a failed test, or will i be able to re-test with no problem? i've read a lot of past threads and have noticed different answers. does anyone out there know the aanswer for real? thanks guys, and good luck UPTWN

If you're dilute, it can be positive-dilute or negative-dilute. It's up to the employer whether they allow you to retest for a negative-dilute.

If you're positive (not meaning positive-dilute, but plain positive), the MRO calls you first, then the employer. I don't know who calls you for dilute results but I bet if you read the most recent 3-5 pages, you might find that answer or you could use the search option. If you get nothing the first attempt, re-word it. Either the true experts are not around at the moment or they're waiting for you to search for your answer cause they're here. I'm no expert but everything I've written above is from reading what's already here.

thanks for the response flor! in my paricular case, I am three weeks clean and i'm taking the standard run of the mill pre-employment test (i forget the name, but the cut off is 50ng). i'm not too worried about failing, i'm most worried about over-diluting :-/

Three weeks or so later, and I haven't heard a peep from the lab. Got my first paycheck, along with the health insurance plan my job offers. The dilution guidelines worked like a charm - staying clean for 9 days and exercising a lot/being fit helped, I imagine, but I was pissing so much that day I don't know how it didn't come up diluted. Must have been the rolaids and gatorade.

Anyway, good looks, now I get to burn a fat one down on the walk back to the train from work. Stay up.
