| I could have subbed so easily!!! The lady took my blood pressure and pulse, weighed me, took some blood, then gave me a cup and two test tubes. She asked ME to record the temperature before filling the two tubes. 65 days fast after 15 years of steady, heavy smoking. I used the N2 dillution method pretty much... I've been loading up on creatine past couple days and eating a lot of junk food. This morning I had 16oz of coffee with two B vitamins and 4 asprin. Then on the drive in to work, slowly sipped 32 oz of salty gatorade over 2-3 hours... waiting for the test. Then a little bit of water during the test because i had voided just before she arrived... After she left I did my own test again... I'd say this is a PASS - check it out. Unless I show up dilluted, but my guess is (please let me know what you think) that I will be on the inside of the specific gravity window. Thanks to all on this site... I think (?) I passed.... ![]() |

| You passed, and my guess? They aren't checking for illegal drugs. For life insurance, they usually just check for overall general health. It should say somewhere in your paperwork what they are checking for. |

| Some insurance does look for illegal drugs. I was looking into life insurance a couple of months ago and they told me they would do a physical with a drug test included. They also check the urine and blood for nicotine to see if people lie about being a non-smoker to get a lower rate. Needless to say I chose not to go through that company for life ins. I just went with Aflac through my job. No physical and cheaper rate with more benefits.

Never go into a test for anything without being fully informed. Even for an employer, you have the right to know. It can be intimidating, and I understand you could be afraid of showing an employer that you are suspicious of drug testing, but simply asking for a list of everything that is tested for by an insurance company for pre-policy, is just being an informed consumer. | |

| Yes I did. I didn't want to look like a fool or a liar. Nor did I want to waste my time or have someone poking me with needles to end up failing and not getting the insurance. I am deathly afraid of needles so that one was a hard one for me to swallow. |
