i weigh 135 lbs, 6' tall, I smoke once or twice everyday, have been doing so for about 4 months. I have a drug test in 9 days. Im in a Recovery program, involuntarily, an alternative to probation. I will be tested about ever 2 weeks for about 6 weeks after this next test, and the testing is slightly random. I have so far had 3 tests, the first i got a thc reading of 433, the second 273, and the third hasnt come back from the lab. This means that my next test will most likely need to be COMPLETELY clean. There will be someone watching me when i pee, so im skeptical if i can go with the "substitution". Also because they pat me down when i enter, wouldnt they notice it? "dilution" seems to be the route for light smokers, which I am not. What should I do? please dont just say stop smoking for the duration of 6 weeks, I realize i could do that, but im curious to whether or not it is absolutely neccessary

Probably not the answer you are looking for, but.........
Why push the break that you have been given? Stay clean until it's over. Staying clean on the streets beats the fuck out of staying clean in jail any day.

wouldnt it be a better idea to avoid going to jail and just straighting up for a while?

It is absolutely necessary only if you want to stay out of jail. If you don't care whether you are on probation or in jail, then go ahead and continue to smoke pot. It is your life, live it where you want.
