I am a 46 year old male clean since 4/04/07...or should I say last smoked 4/03/07 when I was surprise tested at my work. I failed .
I smoked every day for a lot of years. Not more than a joint a day of mixed review stuff. I have quit partaking of the smoke. The stress and worry of the whole thing just isn't worth the buzz. I have lurked on this board for a while and understand that a line is a negative. With my first pee of the day Monday morning I had a faint line. I may have a random test coming Friday that I have to pass...this being said the first of last month I went to my doctor and took a test. There was a faint line there but the tech sent it off anyway. Well an MRO called me and said that I tested positive for thc. I then asked him what was my level and he said 30...Shouldn't i have passed the emit test.. btw ..I"m 6'4'" 270lbs

The Immunoassay test tests for approximately 32 different THC metabolites. Together they should add up to more than approximately 50ng/mL to send it to a confirmation test. This is not a quantitative test, it is a qualitative test. It only says yes or no (it is there or it isn't there).

The confirmation Gas Chromatography, Mass Spectrometry (GC/MS) tests for the prescence on only one of the most common metabolites and the cutoff of that test is 15ng/mL. This gives an actual level (quantity) in the urine.

So, you tested 30ng/mL for the test that has a cutoff of 15ng/mL.

If your test is Friday I don't think you have enough time to complete the whole method to the letter. Look at subbing if you can.

today is wed night that gives enought time to dilute ..... at least 36 hours till friday morning 6am

so even after a faint line on my first pee and a mild dilute youre saying I need to sub...been clean 56 days...remember a line is line...or so is the info on this board..

You think so, The dilution sticky says 48 hrs for best results. It may be done, but I don't know if I would want to chance it. But who knows it could work.

yes it does say" For best results, abastain for a minimum of 48 hours before the test. Of course, the longer you wait, the better your chances are."
BUT he has not smoked for 56 days now. but his creatine level but be iffy but double the dose and with tums and Gatorade and salt.......
but with 56 days I bet he's clean anyway........ couple days after his own test dropping from 30 .................

Your right a line is a line and a line is usually passing pending that the cutoff is the same on your home test as it is on the lab test. If the home test cutoff is 50ng/ml but the lab test is 15ng/ml can you really compare the two?

But I also didn't realize that you had been clean for 56 days which is a really long time to be toke free. But there have been people that have gone over 60 days to be clean. You may just need a mild dilution. It really depends on what the cutoff level is on the lab test.

now i'm thinking again...lol...I guess i'll call my wife with a sub..she has some synthetic for me...and a device...I was just hoping i could pass... i think i could do a dilute but the creatine levels are something I don't think I could pass..given the time table....thanks to all who responded...so I quess you all think I will fail if I use my own urine.....so much for a line is a line...in which a line is a pass....thanks n2 and sec3....
