average to good dietary habits with a low amount of exercise.

I have been smoking regularly since I was 17 and am now in a position to pass a preemployment drug screen for a job I am convering from contract to perm with.

My question involves the category of "heavy smoker" I tend to smoke when I get home from work and maybe one more time in the evening. Usually this just consists of of one hitter each time of mid grade or better weed. Am I considered a heavy smoker? Also, which is more of a determination in the concentrration of the metabolites in your urine quantity, frequency, or some other variable?

I am going to start the new job negotiations on Monday and plan to "fast" until I ahve to pee in teh cup. I plan to use the dilution methosd as I think I would be too much of a spaz to pull of the sub method!

Stop the fasting and exercise 3-5 days before the test and go into couch potato mode and pig out. You don't want to release more THC metabolites from your fat cells.
For the quantity or quality part. I think it is both. The higher the quality the more THC. The more the quantity the more THC.
Follow the dilution method instructions carefully. More isn't better in the case of dilution. The method recommended here has been proved to work with a few days abstinence.

As the op put "fast" in quotes, I believe he meant abstaining from weed, not food.

1toke is right about quantity and frequency both being important. What's relevant is the total amount of THC you put into your system.

I suggest you acquire a home test kit and use it the morning prior to the pre-emp test, using the first part of the first pee of the day. If you pass with that you don't need to do anything else. If you fail, then you need to dilute. If you dilute, follow the guidelines. Simply drinking a lot of water can produce a negative-dilute result.

There are a lot of factors that determine how long until you're no longer carrying enough THC metabolites to test positive on a urine test.

1)How recently you smoked.
2)How much you smoked.
3)How often you smoked.
4)What quality you smoked.
5)Your percentage of body fat.
6)Your metabolic rate.

All of these are considerations in estimating how long a person will take to be "clean".

On average a daily smoker will take 30 days to be "clean". The only way to be sure is to test yourself.
