Well, I'm posting for a bit of advice.

I have been reading these forums throughly for two weeks - so I feel like I understand about subbing and dilution but still have some things that I am uncertain on.

First off, I'm a girl. 4'11", 110lbs, normal metabolism, heavy smoker (twice a day for a year and a half until 2 weeks ago).

I'm having a hard time finding information about other people my size and gender - I have a conditional offer letter at a job I truly need (like we all do) and have come up with a "plan" of sorts to try to delay my offer for some time.

First thing this morning, I tested myself and got a very very very faint line. Afterwards, I noticed that I am an idiot and had filled the bottle too much and the test stick was sitting too deeply in my pee. It wasn't totally immersed, but it was definitely a few cennimeters over the line.

So my first question is, could an excess of saturation cause a false-negative if the urine was too close to the test "mechinism"?

My second question is, how long do you suggest I ask for to be naturally clean? I found out that I may be given a physical so I will not be able to sub, and my experiments with dilution have made me really sick (vomiting = not helpful). I am 2 weeks clean, do you think that I can be safe at 5? Do I need 8? I know that it all depends on my body, which is why I included those stats.

Thirdly, I am going to a lab certified by the federal government and was told my test would be "extensive"...does this mean I will get GS/MS right away and have 15 as my cut off?

Don't dilute until it makes you sick, read the dilution technique and go just a lettle less fluid if that is all you can handle.

All the large labs are certified by the U.S Department of Health and Human Services. If they weren't, they couldn't do DOT regulated testing. It is no big deal. There is no way any test goes "straight to the GC/MS". Your "quite extensive" test is bullshit. You get the same test as everyone else.

Weird, the company my workplace will use for testing - "Work Corp" - said that they only have one lab in the whole city of Boston who are certified with them (they arrange Federal tests, etc). I have a Quest down the street and apparently they are not certified. Its good to know that their "extensive" term is bullshit, though!

I read the paperwork and it says "Non-NIDA", which I think means "Non-DOT". According to the sheet, it is marked "collection only" and will be sent off to another lab immediately. This is why I thought I'd go straight to GS/MS.

I bought myself some extra time - it will be 34 days clean when I test so I think that I have better chances this way, and hopefully will be getting a line on the at-home tests by then. Maybe wishful thinking.

Do you have any idea if letting the stick go too far into the pee would produce a faint line due to oversaturation?

Once the test expired, the line pretty much went away entirely and the control line got stronger, though it was "expired". So who the hell knows.

LabCorp, Quest Diagnostics, MedTox Laboratories, Kroll Laboratories, Clinical Reference Laboratories (CRL), Advanced Toxicology Network (ATN), LabOne (now owned by Quest) are all able to conduct federally regulated drug tests. They are all Department of Health and Human Services Certified laboratories. There are about 20 - 30 more labs that are certified, but I just listed some of the largest.

Apparently Work Corp has a line of crap they call advertising.

Well that is good to know, they made it sound like they had super-high standards because they worked with the Federal government. Misleading...lame.

Any thoughts on the "too far into the pee causes a faint line" topic?

If your test isn't for 3more weeks(if I read that right...im kinda high ) you should start doing cardio. Even walking will do fine(try and go for as long as possible, i.e. an hour or 2) Exercise as much as possible until about 5-7 days before your test, then stop. This will help burn THC metabolites and get your time down.

If you're concerned that the test wasn't done properly get a new one close to your real test and see how it goes, just follow the directions. Try one, with first morning void, see what you get and try one with dilution. Like smokey123 said, exercise, exercise, exercise & stop several days prior! Fat load & load up on creatine (if you think you need to dilute).

Got the acceptance letter today! Passed on my first try with the dilution method. And I probably wouldn't have been clean without it. Next time I think im going the sub route with QF 4.0 though, after doing it once, I see how easy it would be to sub for that kind of test. The only good thing about taking a month off is you get HIIIIIIIIGH after coming back Like me now!
