Anyone with the knowledge or past experience know if qf4 will pass a GC/MS test. I know it should pass most other preliminary test but i will be taking a drug test for a defense contractor soon and am worried they may use a little more sophisticated testing techniques (i.e. the expensive sh*t). Then again they may just send me to quest or labcor like everyone else.

Also i caught a post from sometime ago and it mentioned some sort of Igg test, that was possibly used for testing synthetic urine. Just wanted to see if anyone had any updated information on this or not.

*EDIT* Just caught another post where someone said the only thing US labs are allowed to test is metabolites, PH, SG, creatinine, and excessive nitrates. So maybe if this is true we are still good with synthetice urine for a while, or until more repulicans take office! no j/k not trying to start another war here.

Got tested 6/6/07...wnet right to the drug store afterwards and purchased a home test kit..it was negative...Am I safe, are they accurate...someone please reply...NERVOUS,,,thank you

I have some questions as how to best prepare for a drug screen on Monday (my background/details to follow questions). The group performing the pre-employment physical and drug abuse test (DAT)sends the DAT to a third party, which from the best of my knowledge uses the GC/MS method of analysis.
1.) What manner of testing is used (ie - urine, blood, hair, saliva or multiple) when a GC/MS is used for the sample analysis?
2.) Would an at home drug test, from local pharmacy, be truely representative of results I should expect out of the more advanced GC/MS analysis?
3) Since the Immunoassay testing uses antibodies to indentify & quantify substances, do I have a viable excuse/reasining as to a possible "false-positve" in the eye of a MRO, ie - Motrin (Ibuprofen) regiment for lower back pain?

My Details:
One joint smoked this previous Saturday, one joint the week before that, one more a month prior to that, and over a year prior before that. Height= 5foot 11inch, Weight= 175lbs, Metabolism= Moderate to High, Exercise Regimen= Pilates & Weight/Resistance Training 2-3 days/week (No Cardio as of now), Body Fat% ~13-15%.

I have not smoked in over 11 weeks. I always drink water and I am 125 lbs. I took at home drug test and passed. I was not sure how reliable that was so I took herbal quick tabs the yesterday morning of the test. When I pissed it was neon green. I really feel like I am clean but I got really concerned when my urine was so bright. Does this look suspicious to those testing? Can anybody agree that I am most likely clean? Should I be worried over the color of the urine?

Use the search feature at the top of the page and search "urine too yellow" & you'll find the answer to that question. If you home tested with your first void of the day and passed, yep, you should be clean (at least clean enough to pass the test).

1) GC/MS is used to confirm immunoassay non-negative results in all 4 body samples. If you are trying to figure what fluid/tissue they are going to test by seeing GC/MS on the form, you better try to figure it out another way.

2) Those home tests use immunoassay technology very similar to the lab immunoassay. They tend to be about 97% accurate and if you do a search about home tests and GC/MS you will see much more detailed answers than I just gave. I am too tired to answer it again. Something about 31 metabolites in quotes or something.

3) There are no more false positives. If there was somehow a false positive on immunoassay, it would be eliminated during GC/MS. The MRO would laugh at you.
