Haven't ever been tested since I really started smoking, big job on the line, so a little nervous. I'm just wondering how reliable these at home tests are? I tested negative, but what are chances of testing negative at the real thing? Should I down a detox drink ("Detoxify - Ready Clean") beforehand? I'm 6' 3", 180 pounds, very fast metabolism, did a liver flush (for other reasons), have been pounding cranberry juice, was smoking everyday but I haven't smoked in 2 weeks. By now you may think I'm nuerotic, but like I said, I've never been tested, I'm going in for the Quest Diagnostics "35190 SAP 10-50/2000 W/NIT" test. Should I be alright? Or should I chug the detox drink (what are the physical effects of it?) Thanks.

Home tests are VERY reliable. They test at the same level for metabolites that labs test for, mainly 50 ng/ml. If you can pass one of these off of your first piss of the day, midstream, you will have no problem passing the real thing.

Forget detox drinks, they don't work, and you can accomplish the same thing by reading the dilution sticky at the top of this forum. They basically attempt to do the same thing, at a way more expensive price.

Oh yea, and if you have ANY test coming up, QUIT NOW! Is this worth jail or losing this $$$ ? NO! If you think so, you'll probably end up like this .

Don't bother with the so called detox drink. They often don't work and they are just an expensive way of dilution.
