Hey,

This is my first post, I've been reading around and have found some good information. I have a question about the dilution method however.

I go in at 9:00am and take a written test for about 2 hours, I then proceed to take a medical which includes a urine sample and with that sample they test for many things; one being drugs.

So I figure the dilution method is for me as it's been 52 days since I've smoked (was a heavy user) I took a home test and got 1 red line and 1 pink line.

I figure I should dilute to be safe because I have to fill out a drug form beforehand and I would like to say I haven't done any drugs because if you smoke weed you have to wait 6 months before you can re-apply. So if I say I smoked 4 months ago, I'll still have to wait 2 months.

Anyway, my question is does the pink line rather than the red line determine that I have used marijuana in the past?

My friend that has never used before received 2 red lines...

Also, since I won't be able to dilute in those 2 hours I'm writing my test, will waking up EARLY and start drinking and peeing work okay?

As long as the actual test has the same cutoff as your home test you will pass. As they always say a line is a line and a line is a pass. Don't over dilute as that could cause you a fail or retest. Good luck and let us know how it goes for ya.

If they have never smoked before they should get a dark line. It shouldn't be faint.

One more.. So if I write down on my form that I quit about 6 or 7 months ago, it would be understandable that I receive a faint pink line?

why would you even give them that information? A line is a line they are not going to question you

Because if they catch you lying, you have no chance of re-applying to the army. I figure if I say I've never smoked and get a faint pink line then they know I have smoked before? Is this incorrect?

Well you are still lying by saying you last smoked 6 or 7 months ago so if you are going to lie, go big. Normally I would agree with a little white lie but in this case go for broke. I don't think they can say "Well you might be under the cutoff but because it is faint we know you have smoked" Instant tests that are nonnegative have to be confirmed through lab testing not just by shades of pink or red. If they send it off for lab testing and it is faint but there is a line, it will pass the lab tests.

Don't mention any prior drug history to them. They don't need to know that. The only way they'll know you're lying is if you fail the urine test, in which case I doubt they'd let you re-apply anyway. A line is a line. 52 days clean is a wonderful thing to have in your back pocket, and odds are very good you'll pass easily. You don't have to do a strict dilution protocol, nor does it sound like you would be able to, but just stay well hydrated the day of the test.

Oops, I guess the test has already come and gone. Please let us know how it goes.

All jokes aside.. nerphroll my test hasn't passed yet. It's this Tuesday. And I am proud about the 52 now 53 days off the plant, however I am still stressing for some reason. I think I'll get up at 6 and start drinking Gatorade just to be safe. I'm gonna buy a pack of tums as well. I was thinking about grabbin some B2 aswell to be on the safe side. Can never me too careful when dealing with my future.. heh.

PS. Is it possible that someone who has NEVER smoked weed, get a pink line.. That's what I am worried about mainly. How can I say no to the past use if a pink line means there has been on the past .. I was told a red line would mean you've never used. Thanks
