Test result times

HOw long does it usually take to get back test results if they are done "in house" ie the lab is on the property?
I took a drug test last thur. and had smoked the night before. It was a random, i was able to get down about 48 oz of h20 & my wife picked up some "strip" then another 48 oz of h20 and some gatorade.
I'm seriously biting my nails on this one. but no one has said anything yet & its been a full week.
any suggestions or advice?

If the test is done "in house" and they receive a non-negative on an instant, they would have forwarded it to a lab. Then you are looking at 3-6 days before anyone would contact you for a positive. For a negative, you might never know when the employer received their results.

BTW, how much time (notice) did you have of your random test? I am just wondering because your wife had time to go to the store and all. Most people have less than 2 hours notice if any at all.

they called me around 9am and i had until lunch time to report to the clinic.
