Doh!

So sorry about this. I searched for awhile and I couldn't find any really good info.

I'm 6' 3", about 240lbs.

Smoked every day for the past maybe.... 5-6 years? Bowl a day or so after work. 1/8th a week.

I've been clean and sober for an entrance UA (new job) for the past 2 weeks, and I won't be taking it for about 30 more days. Leaves about 45-50 days total.

I don't exercise (Desk job), metabolism isn't that great, and my BMI is kind of high (chubby, not fat).

I've been drinking about 1.5 gallons of water a day. Cranberry juice at night. Coffee in the morning. I'm going to start doing my own self tests very soon.

Question is... do I have a chance? Or should I be looking at substituting?

Obviously there are no clear-cut answers... but any insight would be welcomed.

Stop drinking so much fluid. It won't help. Your idea of home testing is a good bet. Test yourself with your first piss of the day.
Only time and exercise will rid your body of THC metabolites.

Sure you do. With 45-50 days clean you will have a real good chance. There is also a good chance you will piss clean without dilution by then. Read the dilution sticky and 2 or 3 home tests and start testing yourself every other day a week before the test with your first piss of the day. If you test clean a couple days before the test fine. If you don't test clean. Then use the dilution method.


The darkness of the line doesn't matter. If you can see a line, it is negative.

Doh, each person is different with regards to metabolism and their intake of smoke.

I have a medical on Wednesday of this week and I have been clean for two weeks with the exception of two drags of a good strong spliff last week.

What I would recommend is look at the results thread, it's near the top of the page. I was at my wits end last week and I'll be honest I found a lot of information from that page and it also calmed me down. I would strongly recommend a home tester mate. I bought two, tested myself on Friday with my first pee and I tested negative, feint line in the negative bracket but still negative.

I wouldn't stress as much mate. It will make matters worse, just have a look at a few of the other posts on this forum. Sec3 would be the best person for info here. But just take a few smoke free deep breaths and have a browse around my friend. It's what I did and to be honest there are more positive encounters on this forum than negative so you shouldn't be too bad. Sorry I can't comment on whether you have a good chance or not but I'm in the same scenario and basically clueless about my own situation. Goodluck though mate.

Thanks for the reply. I keep having a couple moments of panic, but reading over the results forums I should be OK.

I'm going to start home testing myself every other day or so (depending on how much the tests are).

One last question. I'm going to dilute for sure -- where can I find N2's legendary method? Or is that the one in the sticky... couldn't seem to find it.

I'm worried now...

Just took a home test, and it came up negative (rather strong pink band... about 75% the intensity of the control band)

That's good. However, like I said in an above post... I was a habitual user for years, smoking an eighth of an ounce a week. It's only been 2 weeks.

Is it possible that the half gallon of water worked? Can this thing actually be trusted? Should I go and get a real lab test done?

You need to take the home test with the first pee of the day in order to tell for sure. try again in the am, if you have a pink line you are good to go. testing later in the day is not accurate.

DO NOT take your test after drinking 1/2 gallon of water. That will result in a diluted test. Do as stoner28 says. if you don't pass, then do as 1toke says. You have plenty of time to read and learn. Don't panic and don't stress on every fear you can imagine. Just read and when you think you know what you need to do, read some more. Then and only then make a decision on what you are going to do.
