I'm new here and I have to say that this is a great comunity. This is my story and I'd like to have your input and maybe some reassurance.
it all started by getting my dreamjob as many of the people in this forum. Of course, I had to pass the pre-emp drug test and so on. I abstained for a whole month and took it, at that time I had no idea of this comunity and I really drank a lot of water and coffee for being afraid I'd have nothing to give. First time taking a drug test. The samples were sent but something happened during delivery and had to take it again. me and my luck. Having found out all this after a week, STUPID me!!! smoked about 6 time (1 each) regular grass (not that strong) on/off during a week but still gave a kick.

So I had almost 2 more weeks for the next test and I started, of course to freak out. I'm very active (lift weight 5 times/week plus some cardyo), male, 5 6" and weigh bout 120, fast metabolism, little fat. During that time, I started increasing cardyo activities and watching what I ate and all that. I went to a private hospital 9 days after just to take a test for myself and see if the dilution would work (trial run). The lady said I was too diluted and that I had to come next day. I decided to go on the same day and holded it for 3-4 hours. Then, she said that everything was Ok and negative, it was a surescreen diagnostics kit (UK based company fda approved), no creatine check though. Anyway 3 days after, I went for the real thing. I tried to do the same thing which I knew "worked":woke up couple of times during the night before, peed, drank water and 3-4h before the test drank about half a liter of pedialyte with vitamin B but no aspirin cuz I'm allergic. altogether I was clean for almost 14 days.

So here comes my paranoia. The test arrived at the lab last Wed. morning (6/27). I haven't heard anything yet and I'm going nuts. After clearing this pre-emp screen I'm suppose to take the physical.
Where do you think I'm standing?? Can I trust the test I took (same cutoff levels)?? am I just being incredible stupid and paranoid??? You guys think I should write/call to my recruiter with a random question???

any thought will be highly appreciated. btw, I learned my lesson and I'm staying clean till I hear something and especially good news.

OK, so it's been over 3 weeks. Following sec3's advice, I called my recruiter and he said that the results weren't back yet; thathe'll contact me as soon as he hears something.

What do you guys think it's going on??? I read a thread where Chain-of-custody form was misplaced thus the delayed results. Any other reason??? I'm really freaking out. I think my worst case scenario is that my sample was neg diluted (hopefully) given that I tested myself and it came back neg.

After 3 weeks, someone messed up and lost either the specimen or the paperwork or both. Hang in there.

Thanx sec3. Is a re-test the course of action in these cases? Do you think I should contact HR (again) or the third-party administrator regarding the delayed results? how can i ask?

once again, thank you for the support. I'm hanging in here nothing else I can do right
