| Back in my raving days, the big raves were always on alternate Friday nights. And the Navy guys would always end up getting shore leave that weekend too, due to report back by Monday. Now, these guys had a different attitude toward drugs than the usual stoner did. It was like a competitive thing with them, "Who can drink the most, who can fry the most, who can tweak the most..." It was obnoxious. And on top of that, they'd always choose the harder stuff like ketamine or speed because it would be out of their system by Monday. I had a chat with a Navy guy once while we were in line and he said exactly that. So that's the relevant part of this post. In Navy subjects, drug testing may induce a "ramping-up" approach to harder drugs.
