I was just offered a job and I am required to have a "drug screening."

I was told to pick from a list of clinics (majority are Concentra) which is sent to ATN in Tenn. I was told it was a non-DOT or a non-Department of Transportation drug screening.

They said to, "call ahead to one of the clinics listed below and let us know if we can support any efforts in completing your drug screening process, sometimes different clinics have different requirements that we are unaware of"

I have purchased the Whizzinator and I am concerned with them testing for whether it is synthetic or not.

Does anyone know anything about ATN or the "non-DOT" drug screening?

As long as your temperature is fine and the collector does not see any "adulteration materials", you should be fine.

Synthetic urine is specifically made to pass the validity checks of modern drug tests. I can not speak for the synthetic urine that comes with the Whizzinator, but I know Quick Fix works perfectly. As long as you got the temp right, and they don't catch you with any subbing "materials", you will pass (as Sec previously stated).

i can speak for the whizzinator - it works, i passed a test last year using the synthetic that comes with it and following their directions.

The Whizzinator is not near as easy to use under observation as Puck Tech lets on, but their synthetic urine is a good product. I have passed four tests using it.

works great for an employment test where you are not under observation, which is what I had - but quickfix may be a cheaper alternative if they aren't going to watch you....

If it's a pre-employment test and you don't have a record of failing tests or trying to cheat them they won't watch you pee. The whizzinator is good thing to have arround but pretty much a waste of money in your situation. In most cases for a pre-employment test they'll send you alone into a bathroom stall or a private bathroom. I've taken 9 pre employment DOT and non DOT tests in the past 3 years and all were conducted in the way I just described. Observed tests are usually only done if your on court ordered drug testing or have failed a test in the past. In fact legally I don't thing you can be directly observed otherwise. I'm under the assumption you live in the US. As far as fake pee goes I have used quick fix and the stuff from cleartest.com. I like the stuff from cleartest because it's cheaper and you get 3oz of pee instead of 2oz. However you do need to mix it yourself. But the quick fix is good to keep on you if you run the risk of random's. The bottle is smaller and you don't have to mix anything, just don't expose it to sunlight.

Some collections are employer or TPA specific. Such as Target, Game Stop, Kraft, etc... For non-DOT if a specimen does not meet the temperature requirements, we are to discard the original specimen and recollect unobserved.

For non-DOT tests, it is employer specific whether a unqualified first specimen warrents an observed second collection or an unobserved second collection.
