Been reading here a while and have a few questions;

Quickfix--does it need/have to be warmed up with the heating units that come with it, or can it be heated with body heat in the same way that the 2 ounce bottle of shampoo can be heated? Err...can I just tuck the container that quickfix comes in between my legs and get it to reach the 95 degree recommended temp?

I'm asking cause I'll have to take a test soon and will have to go straight to the lab from work...no chance to get near a microwave first. Also no chance to give the heating pad 1 hour to heat it up.

AND--if subbing urine for a test, will dog urine work?

Last question for now--from what I've read here, seems like the general idea is that if you can pass an at home first piss of the day piss test, you'll pass a lab piss test....did I get that right?

#1... you can warm it up that way..... warm it in the morning and tuck it all day or just turn on your car heater and put the bottle over the vent on your way to the testing place....

Bogo is correct. Animal urine may have worked a decade or two ago when specimen integrity checks were not in place. The rules of the game had changed since then.
Canines have a normal creatinine level of 1.0 - 2.0 mg/dl. This level would not fly when the specimen integ check (includes creatinine, pH, specific gravity, nitrites) is performed on the sample. The acceptable level for creatinine is above 20 mg/dl. A creatinine level between 0 - 2 mg/dl is ruled "not consistent with human urine".

Hey Toast, Those at home kits will detect if there is THC in your system, but be careful...The test doesn't tell you if you get a positive result. It just shows a very faint lin in the "T" region of the dipstick. I saw the line, it was barely visible, so I thought it was negative. I had stopped smokin for 8 weeks, and guess what? My test came back positive !!! Stupid me, I should have taken something with me to the test. I might be able to retest, so I am going to use Quick-fix, and the dilution method as a back up. Good luck to you on your test!!

The test doesn't tell you if you get a positive result? Guess I'm confused about that. Granted I haven't picked up any tests yet (will tomorrow) so I don't understand this 'line stuff'....anyway....I have options of buying them at Walgreens or Walmart (if they have em) so which store would you recommend? And is there a specific brand/type of test I should be looking for?

Any test kits you pick up from drugstores will work just fine, but they can be moderatly expensive (14.99 to $30 USD)


If you know you have at least 2 weeks before being tested, I would suggest hitting eBay for a few test kits instead. On average, you can get a pack of 10 single strip kits (testing for only THC) for around $6 to $12 USD, which includes shipping. If you ordered today, you should get them within a week...faster if the company offeres express shipping, of course that drives the costs up.

The costs also goes up IF you been taking any other off-topics and you want the other types of tests (3,5 or 10 panel) which will test for any combination of substances. If your biggest worry is THC, stick with that 1 panel tests.

You can also pick up bottles of synthetic urine at half the costs of buying it over the counter from a headshop.

In the meantime, relax, continue to abstain for the time being, practice the dilution method, and remain calm! Stressing over the test is just as bad as a unfavorable result and will do you no good in the long run...Believe me...Been There Done That, and still going through it.

Update. I got 2 home tests from Walgreens that check for weed only, took 1 exactly 1 week after my last puffing that I posted about above...and Vern was correct, I passed it...first piss of the day.

Never did end up taking the employment test though, 1 day of training was enough to learn that the job was full of major suckitude.

BUT, I was offered a different job at a different company that's way better ( position, pay, benefits) and have that drug test coming up this coming Tuesday. Although temptation just about got the best of me during this down time...I refrained from puffing and haven't for over a month now. I'm sure I'm good to go for this coming test.

I have an at home test left, 2 bottles of synthetic urine on hand--and the forecast calls for a major puff-fest in the near future.

I got my synthetic online--good price and fast shipping, and in the future I'll order the home tests online...much better prices as have been mentioned here.

Thanks to all for the awesome advice and extremely helpful forum, and soon I'll be back to enjoy the forum stress-free.

Sure will. 1st off I now know my test will be at the earliest Sept. 24th. 2 weeks from today.

I had 6 puffs (pipe) of some mid-low grade stuff last Saturday night (2 days ago). Before that about the same 6 puffs (pipe) a few days before that. About 1 week prior to that had 4-5 puffs of some very low grade stuff. Before that 3 weeks of nothing. Before that 6-8 puffs of mid-grade stuff every evening for the last 15 years. Now, when I say daily I mean between 6-8 puffs off of a pipe in the evenings every day. No more, no less.

And the test I'm taking will be pre-employment...actually why I don't know but they're letting me start working there and then within the first few days sending me for what they called a physical/medical check and drug screen.

Any help is appreciated.

I should add--I'm 6'1"...170 lbs...34 years old....decent metabolism.

I think you have a good chance of being clean in 2 weeks. Get a home test to be sure, or if you want to go the sub route get some quick fix and practice the substitution method.

Wow, that would be good. Yep, tomorrow I'm headed to the pharmacy to get a couple of home tests.

I'm not sure if my description of 'mid-grade' is correct after looking at some pictures here. In fact the one in your sig line 'sack of the week'. That looks NOTHING like what I used to smoke...holy crapsicles I think I should have said everything I've ever smoked was low-grade.
