| Hi Everyone, My division got bought by another company, about 30 people. The whole transfer was sortof messy and ongoing. I haven't smoked since 4/23 because of the transfer. In the contract we signed it said we would be tested before employment, but we officially became employees over a week ago, i got my first paycheck from them. They said the contracts had a lot of errors (they did) and threw them together at the last minute to make it official. They are still ironing out things with the transfer (email addresses, etc). I don't know whether they are intending to test us but haven't because they've been busy, or if they just took a standard contract and modified it sloppily to get everyone transferred. They haven't mentioned anything about a test besides the contract. Has anyone asked HR about a drug test? I figured I'd ask in an email sortof obliquely with a bunch of other questions. I don't want to like, remind her, have her say no at first but then come back to test everyone. This is going to be a really good job, I could just stop being a poon and wait a few more weeks until everything else gets ironed out. Would asking HR if we are getting our tests be a bad idea? |
