Here is the situation. I got into a bit of trouble this past february, and had my arraingment in August. and Have my first court date coming up on October 18 pending felony charges related to mary j. . . So my last time smoking was 3 weeks ago, to this date (September 16), which was labor day weekend, w/ about three blunts of purple thai before that I had smoked 2 weekends prior to that.... Since then I had not smoked, but this weekend I smoked a blunt of mids on saturday night. I would categorize myself as a light smoker, since my troubles with the law. Maybe a total of 5-10 times Ive smoked in the past 7 months.

Which brings us to my current problem.. My lawyer is trying to cut a deal with the judge and the D.A. , and even if I get probo, I know that they will test me on the spot after I get my punishement, whether it be a deal, or probo.. So I have two questions.

1) will One month and three days be enough to cleanse my system.? I am 5'9, 140 IBS, with a fairly high metabolism... (When I got busted I had to get tested for drug consueling class.. back when I use to smoke everyday, and my lawyer told me one month is all I needed to cleanse , which was true since I passed the test, exactly a month to the date).. So maybe Im a little overly worried?

2) I dont know much about the legal system here. I know I will go to court, on October 18, but will there be another court date arranged for sentencing ??? Or will I find out my punishment on the date of the 18th. The charges I am facing, invovle two felonies, and a misdeamnor.. How do these things usually work ?

Any knowledgable, helpful advice would be much appreciated.

Go to Walgreens and buy a home thc test. Test yourself with the first piss of the day. If you pass that. you'll pass any test they toss at you...

If the history you've given us is accurate, you should be OK.

Since you didn't tell us where you are, how are we supposed to answer this question?

Generally, assuming that you're in the United States, if you enter a guilty plea the judge will sentence you immediately.

Your attorney is probably going to try to get the felonies dropped in return for a guilty plea on the misdemeanor. Assuming that's the case, look up the possible penalties for that crime in your state here.

Chances are, the plea agreement will also include an agreement on what sentence you will get. Your attorney should be able to tell you before your court appearance. This is not always reliable. I went into court expecting probation, because that was part of the agreement, but the judge put me in jail anyway.

Thanks for the valuable info Buzzby. I decided to be careful about what I eat, no fatty foods for a while, drink plenty of water and work out... Even though I believe a month should be more than enough to cleanse my system out.

Talkin to my lawyer, he said we will plea not guilty no matter the circumstances of the case. Apparently, I think he is working a deal with the judge... He told me that the judge is his next door nieghbor and that they ahve a history of working for one another when they use to be D.A.'s and have even worked together in the past.. That he use to work for him, and the judge use to work under him, and that they've been partners in the past. Its a long story, but the all in all, the misdeamnor wont hold up. They have nothing on me for that, they just threw it in there. And niether will one of the felonies. But I did get a felony intent, (for having jars stashed in my place). What he is shooting for is the get the charges dropped , under good conduct, and rehab. But I guess we'll see. The way he was talking about it, he said "just take care of yourself, get your shit done, and let me do what i do. because im going to work out something that you will never have to worry about this in the future".

so I guess Ill keep my fingers crossed.
