I want to apply for this movie theater, but i don't know if they drug test. It says on the application that i may get tested, but i thought i thought that they just say that on all applications. I've had 2 jobs and i've never been tested.
If you guys can check out there website and see the application, (you can apply online) and see if you guys think that they will seriously test me, that would be awesome.

It doesnt make much sense for a movie theater to drug test employees, but if it says it on the application. It most likely wont be random if it is a pre employment test, so you could just use the dilution method. I would just go ahead and apply, if you do happen go get tested and fail it really wont make too much of a difference, as the results are confidential and they cant tell anyone.

Well obviously if it says its a drug free environment they are going to test, you can try to beat it if you really want the job.

I have 2 more questions:
1. If it says on an application that, this company may require a drug test prior to employment, does that automatically mean that they will? I will always assume that they do, but i thought by law they have to put something like that in the, Please Read Carefully, part.
2. Why the fuck would a movie theatre drug test. Is there a legitamit reason for it or do you guys think that they just want to have a "Drug-Free Environment"?

1. If they have it on there they may or may not test you.
2. Their insurance may be cheaper if they drug test employees. Since their main goal is profit, they want the cheapest insurance possible.

I want to apply at a Michaels Arts and Crafts also, but on the back it gave me the same, we may test for drug's or alcohol, but then i saw this, Non Testers List
I really hope this is credible.

Movie theatres don't drug test, as a general rule. Just about any job with a high turnover, typical teenager jobs, don't drug test.

You'll find that every company "provides a drug free work environment" and a lot of them say that "you may be subject to drug testing."

Don't buy it until you actually hear of a test...

It might be credible, but how would we know? Just assume your getting tested. How do you know if one place didn't test, that they won't test in a different location?

Let me put it this way, any job you want your going to be tested for - prepare for it. Get some synthetic urine and read the substitution sticky.
