i'm 51 days clean as of today, 5'10" 140

so today i took a urine test at quest for preemployment
6633n sap 10-50 GC/MS to be exact

i'm pretty sure i'm clean, so my biggest mistake was drinking 3 18oz bottles of water from the time i woke up (9am) to the time i got there (12:00pm).

i dont think it would of been such a big deal and i wouldnt be so paranoid if it wasnt for the serious unprofessionalism at this place.

i got there around 12:15 having to pee pretty bad, expecting it not to take all too long, 12:40 comes around and i still havent been attended to.
it wasnt just me either, i was chatting with the 2 other people in the waiting room, and they both felt the same way.

so 12:45 i just pull one of the ladies out and say i need to go, so this nice lady lets me go, and says we'll fill out the paper work in a little bit.

10-15 minutes later this not so nice lady comes out and starts doing my paper work, my urine was stored in the cabinet of the bathroom, which 2 other people there for drug tests walked into during the time it was in there, not saying anything was done with it, i just didnt feel too comfortable about that.

so this unnice lady asks the nice lady for the urine, she goes and gets it. the unnice lady immediately notices the clarity/clearness of the urine and questions it, the nice lady says all its good and everything and walks out.

so she's filling out the paper work and its clearly bothering her, so she goes and shows it to her manager, another time my urine leaves my site, again, just didnt make me feel all too comfortable, isnt it suppose to stay in your site at all times?

she comes back, makes some comments pretty much accusing me of tampering with it.
i really couldnt figure out what she was accusing me of since she wouldnt come out and say it but some of the convo went something like
her"i've been doing this a lot of years"
me"what are you trying to say"
her"well i've been doing this a lot of years"
me"what, do you think its water"
her"the forensics will tell us what it is"

her comments just made me uneasy, but what i'm really trying to ask is, did i drink too much water for doing nothing to color my urine back to yellow? will it be too diluted to test?

i did have a very long urination for the test also, around a minute i'm guessing, if that makes any difference

If they further question you, just say you drank water that morning because it is hard for you to piss on command, and you wanted to be sure that you could do it. But still it shouldn't come back diluted at all. 3 water bottles is not that many compared to what some people try to do to pass a test. Your piss should come up completely clean unless you have been smoking every day all day for years.

I would not sweat it if i were you. My sister had to take a piss test once (she does not smoke pot or do any drugs) but it was to diluted (basically my sister was well hydrated) so they just had her do it again.
They can not refuse to hire you because you like to keep hydrated, after all your piss is yellow when you are not drinking enough.
So the most I would say is they might have you redo it.

oh, another thing i wanted to ask

from my understanding they do the 50 limit test for thc and if that fails they do the 15 test as a confirmation.
would anything cause them to go straight to the 15 test? like the urine being clear?

When you signed that you provided the specimen and that you saw it sealed up in the vials without it leaving your sight, you made your first huge mistake.

Now, you can't claim to an MRO (if one calls) that they failed to follow protocol. You're stuck.

On the other hand, you probably just got in under the wire as far as being diluted is concerned. You had to wait in the waiting room for quite a bit of time without drinking additional fluids. I would GUESS that you have about a 60% chance of being ok and a 40% chance of being dilute negative.

If your specimen is dilute negative, you have about a 50% chance of the employer accepting this specimen if it is for pre-employment and about a 80% chance of them accepting if it is for a random.

The collector lady was stupid. Her saying "I've been doing this a long time" is irrelevant. Sure, she can tell that you have been drinking a lot of fluids, but there is absolutely no way she can tell by looking at it whether it is overly diluted or not. Besides, her comments make absolutely no difference in the outcome of the test. She was just trying to intimidate you and it looks like she succeeded in doing that.
