Saw this linked to from NORML's site. Basically, a breakdown of detection times from the prosecution side. Not a guarantee of detectability (or lack thereof) in every specific case, but there's some interesting science to read about here.

Usually people who need to know detection times aren't going to read 125 pages to see if they are clean. I'm not saying what you posted is bad or anything, maybe just a bit to long. Making a post is much easier, I'd like to think we have a pretty solid drug testing squad here, so someone should be able to give advice.

For the stoners in the audience, the most impt tables are on pages 38 and 58. Basically, the court system is debunking a 30+ day detection period following a cleanout period. The document is indexed and it's also useful for anyone who may be a 1 or 2 time offender to read the first section regarding expungement and its relative lack of use by defendants. See next post to help those with short term memory or concentration loss.

Based upon recent scientific evidence, at the 50 ng/mL cutoff concentration for the detection of cannabinoids in urine (using the currently available laboratory-based screening methods) it would be unlikely for an individual to produce a positive urine drug test result for longer than 10 days after the last smoking episode. Although there are no scientific cannabinoid elimination studies on chronic users using non-instrumented testing devices, one would assume that if the on-site devices are properly calibrated at the 50 ng/mL cutoff level the detection guidance would be the same. At the 20 ng/mL cutoff concentration for the detection of cannabinoids in urine (using the currently available laboratory-based screening methods) it would be uncommon for an individual to produce a positive urine drug test result longer than 21 days after the last smoking episode. For occasional marijuana use (or single event usage), at the 50 ng/mL cutoff level, it would be unusual for the detection of cannabinoids in urine to extend beyond 3-4 days following the smoking episode (using the currently available laboratory-based screening methods or the currently available on-site THC detection devices). At the 20 ng/mL cutoff for cannabinoids, positive urine drug test results for the single event marijuana use would not be expected to be longer than 7 days.

While longer detection times have been documented in research studies, these prolonged elimination findings represent uncommon occurrences and should not be used as exculpatory evidence in the majority of case adjudications.****

What does this mean?

That it's possible to beat a test BUT if you fail, the explanations may be harder to pass off ("but it's been 6 weeks since I smoked").

For me, it's interesting to see the science out there and know what the other side is seeing, too - know your enemy and all that. Cheers.
