Ok. Ive posted here before for saliva test for work related issues, but now I have to pass a urine test for legal issues.

Heres the deal:

4 months ago I used to smoke every day 3-5 times a day. I quit for 4 months then randomly last weekend I took 3 hits out of a 10in. bong of some really good bud. This was Friday November 9th. I might have to appear in court Wednesday November 21st and will probably have to take a urine test.

I have already read the dilution tips from N2, but I was wondering what I can do in the next 4 days to prepare the the test.

3 hits after 4 months of abstaining shouldn't take much diluting to pass a test since you'll have been clean 12 days, if any at all. I'd say a light dilution a few hours before the test is all you'll need, a 32oz Gatorade alone may be enough to pass.

Will dilution I do right now remove the metabolites from my system or is that only good for a few hours before the test?

No it will not. Dilution just adds more fluid to your urine making the level of THC metabolites seem lower to the tests. That was a bad explanation, but the answer is still no. Just drink a few drinks before the test and you should not have much to worry about. Or even better, you should take a home test the morning before you go to court to see if it is even necessary. It is not uncommon at all to be clean after 12 days from one session. It all depends on how fast your body burns fat.

I guess I should add I am about 5'11 and 200 pounds. I guess I am a little big so I think that will have an effect.

it is based on metobolism and exercise. If you do not exercise, there is a chance that it still could be in your system in which case you should go to a store like wallgreens or wallmart and buy a home drug test. Use it with your 1st void of the day a day or 2 before court. If you pass it you have nothing to worry about but if you fail it, you should follow dilution tips on this site.

well i just found out I am going in to plead not guilty and get schedule a court date for later. I think i dont have to take the test, but I am going to be safe.

Has anyone read a norml article saying that detection times are much shorter than first predicted. Infrequent users can pass a test in 3-4 days.

There might be a possibility of having a test done. Do you think that drinking 3-4 glasses of water starting 3-4 hours before test should be good?

Interesting article. Are you in the minority 28+ days category? The only way to know for sure is to have yourself tested, now, before they ask you and while you are still off the smoke.
