Hello everyone! Let me first say that this site has been the most help ever. In most cases I have been to find each concern of mine addressed at some point. I had a pre-employment screen today done at a collection site that uses Kroll Laboratories as their test facility. After much deliberation I went with subbing. Quickfix 4.0 seemed the obvious choice. I purchased two samples from a local headshop. I was so nervous about smuggling the vials in that I decided only to take one. I, hehe in my paranoia pre-prep last night, actually sewed a tiny ankle sock to the inside of a pair of boxer briefs. I went with the microwave method followed by the heater secured by rubberband. While driving to the test site I monitored the temp of vial. It stayed at 100 or just a little over. As long as it warmer, I wasn't overly concerned. I thought it would be much easier to manage cooling the sample down then being stuck with it being too cold and being rejected. Blocks from the site I stowed the vial + heater in the sock in my jock. I had to wait quite a while, the clinic was swamped. I had a feeling it was getting too hot. When I finally got called in, I was not patted down, nor was I made to empty my pockets. After washing my hands I headed into the restroom with the sample cup. I was relieved to see the sample cup had a temp strip on it as well. Double insurance on a valid temp .I emptied the QuickFix into the sample container, which made me need to void myself. Perfect, something for the toilet, which would go unflushed by me. The vial did make a little noise when the air sucked back in, but I don't think it was noticed. The temp was indeed a little too warm from the heater and storage. I panicked only slightly, but blew on the sample until the green came down to the 96 range. I brought the sample to the technician, and noticed that he checked the box indicating a 90-100 range. He then poured the sample into two vials and indicated a split specimen collected on the form. I initialled the two vials and signed the test form. I was on my not so merry way from there. WHAT CONCERNS ME IS THIS: And I am sure I am being paranoid which I deem natural at this point, BUT has anyone passed with QuickFix 4.0 with a SPLIT specimen? In addition to that question, let me pose this one: Does anyone have experience with Kroll labs being able to detect synthetic urine in a dual specimen test? Any help would be greatly appreciated. This is one of the most nerve-wracking experiences ever. Last edited by JobeJoe : 11-21-2007 at 07:14 AM.

Sounds like you got the temp right, quick fix will take care of you. The only time I've heard of people failing with quick fix is when the temp is too cold.

Sure. I passed with it. Easy as pie. Once you walked out the facility and everything is initialed, your all set. Sit back and smoke away.

Thanks jpbc99, every little bit of encouragement goes a long way! Especially over a long holiday weekend, which makes the waiting game that much longer. How long ago did you test?

Well it looks like Quickfix worked for me. I was pretty sure it did, but the background check took so long, I didn't get any word on the drug test. Well today I got a call from my new employer saying I start this week on Thursday. They want me to come in Wednesday and finish some paperwork, but unless they are planning a really sinister observed test for Wednesday it looks like I am in the clear. Thanks for all of the information and confidence boosting everyone!
