I did a search for 'hireright' and only one thread came up. Does anyone know more about their tests? I received a link from my prospective employer directly to hireright to consent to a background check and drug screen? Anyone familiar with their testing procedure? The thread said there was a master list of the different testing companies but I couldn't find it. Also -- I have a misdomeanor for possession from a county other than where I live and where the job is (expungable in only 8 months! -- damn, but a lawyer said it would be unlikely they'd find it, plead guilty, no conviction). My contact at this company also asked which county I lived in when I asked how long this process usually takes -- he said my county was typically fast (I'm hoping that means they just check the county courthouse). fingers crossed.

Some background companies check by State, others by county. If I remember, Hireright checks by county. You also will be getting the standard 5 panel drug test with the usual 50 and 15 ng/mL cutoffs for marijuana. A Misdemeanor is usually not enough to keep you from getting a job, however; yours is for possession. That pretty much is a disqualifying event to most employers. You might make it, you might not. Sorry, not much help, but with your history, you are sort of borderline for hire-ability. Best wishes & good luck to you-

thanks, i appreciate the input. I am in a highly populous state; say 8 million people w/i 6-7 counties -- not sure if that would make a difference in their ability to search multiple counties??

Well, they might do a statewide search which would include all the counties. It is doubtful that they would do a multi-state check.
