| First off, theres alot of great info up here. Thanks for providing it. Ok i'm a 35 year old male, 6'8", 250lbs. Im not skinny nor am I fat, pretty much a medium build with a small beer belly. My metabolism is about average, maybe a little high. I had lost around 30 lbs in the past year after switching from regular soda to diet. I do eat alot of meat and fast food. I am a daily smoker (I dont smoke the high end stuff, mostly mid level commercial), normally 1 - 2 hits from a one hitter in the morning, 1 - 2 hits around lunch and 6 - 8 hits (sometimes more) at night. It has been that way for 8 years roughly. I am being courted by a potential employer, which had started at the beginning of the year. When I had first started talking to them I quit smoking. They offered the job and its all down to a drug screen to get it. The timeline of my last smoke is as follows: -I kept my standard routine up until the last weekend in December. I started to run low on supply so I had cut back to maybe 4 - 5 hits total in a day (some days less). -By New Years till the 3rd of Jan I was smoking a few hits a day and then I ran out. -Friday the 4th and Saturday the 5th I smoked 2 - 3 hits each night of old resin I had stockpiled for dry spells. That was the last I smoked. It has been 2 full weeks since I last smoked and I am looking to schedule my drug screen (im hoping its urine) for a week from today (on the 28th). So I am looking at just over 3 weeks of not smoking prior to testing. I have always drank lots of fluids, I end up voiding clear urine by mid-day on a normal basis. I have added cranberry juice and am going to pound 3 or 4 large glasses down daily. I am thinking the only thing I could do is the dillution method, subbing might not be an option for me. So with that im looking over the dillution timeline provided and am going to try it out during the week and take a CVS test. My only problem is the test will more then likely be very early in the morning, so Im not sure if I will have the amount of hours pre-test to do it all. I dont know much about the drug screen process, being I have never had to take one. So of course I am nervous, I really want this job. So my question is after 3 weeks of abstaining, drinking lots of fluids including cranberry juice and eating fatty foods, are the odds for or against me on this? I really wish I knew about the job possibility far more in advance to give myself at least a full month to prepare, so i'm hoping 3 weeks is enough. Thanks for any input |

| Ok the test is scheduled for next Tuesday morning, it will be 24 days since my last puff. I bought a home test to try when I get up tomorrow morning, I have been drinking lots of cranberry juice to help clear out and have been eating lots of fatty foods and meat. Obviously if tomorrows practice test dont pass I will have Saturday, Sunday and Monday to prep the dillution method. I fear my scheduled test time is too early for me to effectively follow all the steps that morning. I know I will be changed into a gown and inspected prior to testing so bringing anything is not an option. Is there any insight or tips on top of whats posted in the dillution thread I should know about to better my chances at passing? I'm just extremely nervous about this and cant lose out on this job opportunity. Thanks |

| Well I failed the home test this morning which is disappointing. I am going to begin mass water and juice intake today and take creatine supps with B2. I am going to try another home test Sunday morning and as long as that works out I will continue the regiment until my actual exam on Tuesday. I'd like to think that if people can smoke up to 48 hours prior to testing and still pass using the dillution method that I could do so after not smoking for over 3 weeks. I will post my results from Sundays home test. Getting even more nervous about it all now. |

| Make sure you follow the Dilution method to the "t" Then if you pass the home test, make sure you follow the regimen exactly the same way for the real test. Also, test yourself one more time at home the day before the real test to see if in fact you even need to do anything. You may get clean by then That is what happened to me because HR took so long to do the paperwork, etc, that by the time I had to actually test, 47 days had gone by and I was good to go. But I did get a great education here on the forum as I was totally stressed out at the unkown Good Luck |

With the time thing what I would suggest is just going to bed earlier the night before and setting your alarm clock earlier to give you that ample time. When it is said and done I hope you see it would had been worth the change of sleep pattern for one day to get that PASS on your DT. Also, I would suggest going ahead and doing a dilution trial run with gatorade, asprin and vitamin b-2. Keep us updated on trial run and actual test. Thanks | |

| Try taking multivitamins, cranberry juice. Also don't use your first piss in the morning because it is the dirtiest. Go with the Gatorade and b-2 that has been said. |

| Thanks for the replies. When I tested myself this morning it was on the first void when I woke up, I had thought about testing after that void but wanted to see if I was clean yet or not and knew that would be the tell all test. I bought creatine supplements and vit B2 tonight. Im gonna prep for a home test on Sunday so I will carefully follow N2's instructions. Been drinking plenty of water today, several 24oz glasses and will continue to drink plenty more and gatorade/cranberry juice over the weekend. I am going to begin taking the creatine tomorrow morning when i wake, I assume I should stick with the recommended daily dosage of 6 caplets or should I take more then that to raise those levels up? I will give myself a 4 hour window on Sunday afternoon to follow the fluid intake regiment, to take aspirin at the appropriate times and to take the B2. I will have a couple days of creatine intake going tho that wont be a factor in home testing I understand but by Tuesdays test it should have my levels maintained where they need to be. I will test again Monday morning after my first void to see if I stay in the clear (granted I get the Sunday test to pass). I will post my results from both home tests and of course the real deal. | So I did a test run of the dillution method last night. It took a bit longer for me to begin voiding but I passed the home test. The line was pink and lighter then the control line, is that an indication I should heed? Tonight im picking up one more home test and trying without dilluting to see if I still fail on my own. I was able to reschedule my test to late morning tomorrow just in case so i will have the time to prep if need be.
