Default My Friend just got notice of pre-employment urine test

He's 30 years old, about 155 lbs, 5'8". The notice says that he should appear at the test center within 24 hours. He last smoked weed on Friday night. He also smoked the weekend before that. Before that, he hasn't smoked since January 1. Before January 1 he was smoking every day. His metabolism is fairly fast, and he's also taking medication for ADD (Adderoll).

He's bought something called Super Clean P, and we've been researching all the dilute methods. I guess he feels like he has a better chance with dilution because he's worried about screwing up with the substitution and that looking really bad.

He's out right now buying a home test, so we'll see how that goes.

How far along do you think he'll get with stalling the test? Because it seems like he'd have a much better chance if he gets a couple more days to cleanse.

Thanks to everyone, this site has already been very informative. It's a crazy world out there! I can't believe that they let raging alcoholics do their thing, legalize mj for medical purposes and then this...

Hi,

Just wanted to record how everything worked out, in case someone else gets into this situation.

Though the notice to get the test said 24 hours, my friend went the next day. No one called him or said anything about it.

He ended up following the dilution method described in the sticky and IT WORKED! He ate a lot of red meat and drank the sugarless cranberry juice all day long. This was despite falling the home drug test the night before.

We did not use the Super Clean P, so I can't vouch for if it works or not. We did a lot of research for it on the web, and found nothing that looked like a legitimit unbiased review. If it happens again, my friend will definitely do the dilution method again.

Finally, he did take an adderoll the morning of the test. The adderoll showed up, but he faxed the lab copies of the labels on the bottle. At the end of the day, the lab sent him an email confirmation that he'd passed the test.

This is probably talked about elsewhere on the site, but I also did some research on the law in California for drug test. As of now, companies are allowed to test only on hiring or promoting you.
Oh, and in case anyone wants to know, the test was with labcorp.

Thank you for your update. I hope your friend likes his new job.

In California, as in all 50 other states, if you are performing a safety-sensitive function regulated by the Department of Transportation (Federal regulation), you must be entered into a random pool where you could be tested any time randomly. So I don't know where you cited the law regarding pre-employment and promotions. Companies are also allowed to test for post-accident. Even the Workers' Compensation folks can require you to take a post-accident drug test (in most states).
