i'm new here, this place seems awesome. moving right along...

my friend and i are joining the air force. we are going to MEPS on february 15th. we have been dying to smoke, and all our friends are heartbroken that we cannot join. the question i have is, after our initial testing phase at MEPS, between that day and the day we are shipped to basic (august or september), when are we tested again, if at all? i assume we are tested right before we leave once more, but will be be able to smoke in the mean time?

Don't have any first hand experience with MEPS testing as I'm sure most others here haven't either.

Try doing a search using the term "MEPS" or "Military"

you will be 100% FOR SURE tested at bootcamp the first or second day once you arive at lackland.... if i was you i would stop a good 2 months before your bootcamp date just to be sure. but if you want to toke, and you want to take a chance ( since its probably only going to be a standard home type test ) stop about 30-40 days before. you DO NOT want to fuck up and be on a base pissing hot your first day. Also your recruiter might test you about halfway through to make sure your following the rules.. good luck and i respect your decision on joining, its either coast guard or af for me
