I need some help here....Any advice would be good. I'll try to make this brief:

I have a pre-employment test for a fortune 500 company. I've been smoking at least once a night for the past 2 years or so. I'm male, about 5'8" 150 pounds. I've been working out off and on in that time, but been lifting weights intensively 5 days a week for last year. In the summers I've been very active out in the heat sweating bullets...

I have been abstaining from herb for the last two weeks. I've also been drinking lots of water and doing a lot cardio, as well as taking 1000 mg a day of niacin for the last week. When I take the test Monday it will be my 18th day (I think). I took a home drug test after 8 days with a decent amount of water dilution and B vitamins(made it yellow) and I got a quite faint, but visible line- meaning negative.

My test says that it is a 3105N SAP 5-50 W/NIT....what does this mean??
Also, the top says "NON-DOT OTHER" does that mean its not a dot test???? What is the significance of that??

The test is at Quest Diagnostics.

What should I do? I've got a pretty good metabolism and not a lot of body fat, I'm guessing around 11%?? With all these facts in mind will I probably be safe with DILUTION? or should I go SUBSTITUTION??? And if I substitute should I go with QuickFix or someone else's urine??Any advice would be really really appreciated! Like most posters I'm freaking...I really really need this.

P.S I've read about 100000 posts on here and I still can't make up my mind

Ok, if this is the only active post you have left, I'll answer.

You are taking a normal, everyday, ordinary drug test. It is a 5-panel (meaning it tests for the 5 major abused drugs (marijuana, opium, cocaine, amphetamines and meth-amphetamines or PCP).

It is NOT a DOT test. That doesn't really matter too much, because most Non-DOT tests are collected and tested in the same manner as a DOT test.

Read the dilution sticky and follow it. Drinking "lots of water" isn't going to help you too much, especially if the employer doesn't accept diluted results.

Don't panic. You have time. Be smart and you can pass with relative ease. Panic and you will probably screw it up. Think about it.

ok thanks a lot... It's so hard not to freak. Drug testing is BS....

I will go with dilution. As I woke up today and peed yellow...ate toast, had a glass of tang. Then another 8 oz of water. Went and bought another drug voided out the tang/water drinks and passed another home drug test.

I'll post and let everyone know how it went and what I did. God, wish me luck!

Actually, drug testing does save companies lots of money in accidents and lawsuits each year. The problem is that you are all mad about marijuana testing, but drug tests also detect all the meth, crack, heroin, cocaine, etc... abusers out there as well. I am sure you don't want your prescription filled by a meth-head, or your children driven to school by a heroin addict, do you?

If there were a test that detected whether a person was actually inder the influence of marijuana at a given time, such as a breathalyzer does for alcohol, most people would have no problem with drug testing.

Besides, drug testing pays my bills.
