I was a chronic smoker until Oct 4th. Today is Feb. 2nd. I have had two hits from a pipe since Oct 4th and that was 3 weeks ago. I took a p test thursday for pre-employment and now I am on edge. Does anyone know if I have a chance of passing that test?

Thanks a lot to all of you for your help. It's nice to have a place like this to go to for information and opinions. Your answers to my question helped me relax a little. I will find out tomorrow if I did in fact pass the test and I will keep you posted. Again, Thanks so much.

I passed the p test and got the job. Thanks you guys for your help. Now I have learned that I will be subject to a hair test some time in the future. How much and how often can I safely smoke without it showing up in my hair? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Once or twice in 90 days is the general rule of thumb, but everyone is different. IF you are subject to hair tests, especially random hair tests, it is best if you don't use at all if you want to keep the job.

I have to agree with Sec on that. If you have gone this long without smoking you can a little while longer.
