Hi there, I am freaking out. I have just gotten a wonderful job and been told that I need to take a drug test sometime on Tuesday (before starting the job). I am not a real pot smoker, the last time I smoked was about 2 1/2 almost 3 weeks ago by the time Tuesday rolls around. I had maybe 4 hits off a pipe and that was it. Worrying about passing, I purchased Strip 32 oz. fruit punch cleansing drink extra strength and as an added precaution I purchased the Strip one cleansing softgel, I also purchased a a diatary supplement which has B12, Niacin, etc. I've also been drinking 132 oz. of water since yesterday 2/9. I'm so confused by all the postings and all the mixed messages about water and detox cleansers, etc. I simply want to pass and am scared to death. I regret so much even smoking it since I'm not even a avid smoker to begin with. This could ruin my great once in a lifetime offer and I can't afford that to happen. Can anyone please tell me how to pass and what to do so that I don't over do it with too much water, etc. simply trying to pass I don't want to raise red flags either. I did look at N2's post recipe and that confused me more and I'm wondering if I should go by that formula or simply drink the punch and take the pill. Again, I just need to pass, otherwise my life is over! I'm on my way to purchase a drug test to see if I even test for it, but at this point I've drank so much water it might be a futile effort. I am a female, 195 and am not active so to speak. Please advise. Thank you sooooo much.

You should have bought a home test. This would have saved you about $50 - $60.

Get a home test now. Take it tomorrow morning, not today, using your first (most concentrated) pee of the day. If you pass that, you will pass any urine test the employer gives you. Taking a home test while diluted is not going to give you an accurate indication of whether you are clean or not.

Given your history, you probably don't need to do anything to be able to pass a drug test.

Thank you so much for your reply. I really appreciate it. I do wish I would have tested first before drinking all this water and cranberry juice. Logic would have prevailed, but again freaking out doesn't allow logic to rule. Anyway, I didn't mean to imply that 2 1/2 to 3 weeks ago was the pne and only time I smoked. To be precise, I got let go from my 17 year job at the end of last year. I was depressed, upset and so fourth. I am NOT an avid smoker as I said, but since being let go, I have been drinking and smoking pot on occasion. At worst I have smoked 3 times a week since being let go last year and at best once a week and some weeks I don't smoke at all. I'm not hooked on it and only smoke it when I come together with a certain friend of mine who always has it and smokes it all the time, every day. So the last time I did smoke was about 3 weeks ago. So now that I've clarified, what are your thoughts now that I've expounded a bit about my usage? Thank you again for your input.

You may still pass but you will need to do that home test as Sec suggested just to be sure. Make sure you don't drink anymore water than normal before your home test so it won't be diluted. I would get more than 1 home test so you can do it again to be sure it's not negative due to dilution.

Thank you as well for your input. I just got back from getting two home tests. I will not do it today because I've drank way too much water and cranberry. I will do one tomorrow morning when I wake up and see. If it comes out negative it will be a load off my mind, but a positive result will not be good. Again, I purchased the Strip 32 oz. fruit punch cleansing drink (extra strength) and the Strip one cleansing softgel (one tablet). So if I test positive tomorrow do you think I should, do the softgel? The person at the store told me to do the softgel today and drink the punch the morning of the test which is Tuesday. I was thinking that if I didn't need to do either one the store may take them back if I test negative. If I sound confused . . . I certainly am, but I'm more scared than anything. I know I could have saved some money by testing first, but I was desperate for a quick fix. Those so called cleansing crap mainly work by dilution. You could accomplish the same thing by using the dilution method that you have read. Using one of those dilution techniques would have cost you a lot less money. If you are confused about it then ask questions so you can get clear on it. But if you follow that to the letter then you should pass if you can't pass on your own.

The person who sold you the detox crap was only interested in making a sale. They know nothing nor do they care whether you pass or how you can pass. Think about it: If a "detox" drink actually worked by removing "toxins" from the body, wouldn't that effectively eliminate poisons, viruses, cancers, bacteria, etc... from the body? IF it can rid the body of one "toxin" why couldn't it rid the body of all "toxins"?

It can't.

It is akin to snake oil.

read the sticky called "dilution" (at the top of the urine testing menu page). IF you don't pass tomorrow morning, then follow the "recipe" in that thread.

Personally, I believe you could pass if the last time you used was 3 weeks ago. It could be close, given your body type and the fact that you used periodically prior to quitting.

Passing this drug test is very possible for you with minimal effort. The main thing: Don't panic.

Hi Sec & 29yeartoker,

I had a post yesterday about a drug test being done tomorrow (tuesday). You suggested that I purchase a home test and test myself using my first morning urine which would be most concentrated. I tested it this morning and it came up negative. Are these tests considered to be accurate? And should I also do the dilution method N2 suggests to pass the test just to be sure or should I simply take one more test tomorrow morning prior to going in to do the "official" test tomorrow? I also have the detox juice and strip pill I could do as well. I don't think you like those products as I have read negative feedback about them by you and may others . . . I did spend nearly $100 on them so maybe I can return them. Who knows. The money at this point really isn't the issue, I just need to pass. Those few weeks of depressed, self loathing and insanity over loosing my job sure doesn't seem worth it to me now! If you passed the home test you should pass the real thing. Take the other home test in the morning just to be more confidant. Also try to take the real test later in the afternoon. Drink your normal amount of water, DON'T OVER DO IT! You don't want to come up with a negative dilute as they can either retest or move on and find someone else. Take that so called detox crap back and try to get your money back. $100.00 is a $100.00 bucks and when you are unemployed that's a lot of money. Hell, I am employed and that's a lot of money to me.
