|  A Quick Question I have a drug test tomorrow, I had my friends little brother pee for me last week. Can they test if the pee is old? and if so, are there any good excuses for it coming up like that? please answer quick. thx |

| You'll have to keep it the right temperature. Look in the "substitution" sticky at the top of the forum to learn how to do this. How did you "keep" the urine? Freezer or fridge? You'll be fine if you froze it, but apparently the fridge shelf life for urine is about a week. Has it become "separated," or are there any "floating" things in it? |

| my girlfriend kept it in her room [ which is pretty cold ] i just looked at it, it smells like piss and it doesnt have anything floating in it, its just a lil bubbly cause i just shook it up. |

| I wouldn't know, in this case. I would assume it's fine, but I'm not sure I'd use something that old myself -- not at least without the opinions of some more experienced people here. In the meantime, I'd advise trying to get someone else's clean urine, as a precaution. |

| The "shelf life" of human urine is only 8 - 10 hours at room temperature. If the pee has been sitting around for a week without refrigeration, it will be detectable as "spoiled".
