hello, i have a urine test coming up and i hope to use the substitution method, which i've been reading a lot about. i'm not concerned about anything except the fact that i probably will have to use a male's urine (i am female). i keep reading that urine is not tested for gender (some people even say that it can't be tested for gender), but i now that my one sample of urine is going to be tested for drugs AND pregnancy. now if a male used a female's urine and she happened to be pregnant he would be screwed. what about me, a female, using a male's urine?

i looked for an answer to this already and i couldn't get through all the posts of course, but haven't found anything yet... thanks so much!

No, they will not find the male urine pregnant.

They don't test for gender and I don't know why they would be testing you for pregnancy unless it is the court system. Employers don't test for pregnancy.

If it is court ordered testing, they will probably observe, making substitution difficult if not impossible.

i probably should have given some more details. the urine test is for being a participant in a research study. i can't use drugs or be pregnant in order to be accepted. but i don't want to take the chance of marijuana still being in my system so i'm going to substitute. i've been to this place before, so i know i can place the container in my underwear and pour it in the cup without supervision. but they test the same sample of urine for drugs of abuse and pregnancy... i just want to make sure there isn't something in male urine that will freak out the pregnancy test and cause suspicion.
