OK So here's the situation... Male: Approaching 40 Weight 170 Height 5-11 Last consumed 2 weeks ago. Amount consumed (1 hit) Prior history (very light) Clean for at least a month or two, maybe more Here is my question. Just and a U/I yesterday (pre-employment). I followed the dilution method but went a little lighter than prescribed so as to not come up diluted. It will be 14 days since consumption til test. On day four or five of last consumption I tested negative on two home tests with first void of the morning. Have had about three more tests since then, all negative. Here's my problem area that I need some advice on. I have a prescription for Benzos and since this is a 9 panel test I have no doubt those will test positive and be sent for GC/MS confirmation. When they do this, WILL THEY RE-TEST FOR ALL PANELS, or will they just test the one that came up positive. If so, I should be o.k. because I have a doctors prescription. If not, my second question is, what are the odds of me passing a GC/MS with the different cut off level for the thc? Do you think that I with the dilution and 14 days that this is enough time to get below the 15 ng/ml? Any help would be appreciated. A lot is at stake here and hate that I am worrying for something as silly as one toke two weeks ago, but none-the-less, I can't help but do so. Opinions are welcome. I'll post the results when they come back, but in the meantime N2 / SEC / anyone have any opinions? I have to wait for the results until next week and this is making my blood pressure shoot up. Thanks in advance Last edited by terabyte : 03-22-2008 at 05:16 PM. Reason: wrong name

No, they run the confirmation on only the drug that showed non-negative on the immunoassay. You were testing negative on home tests for THC for 10 days prior to you test so I think you should be ok there. Try to put it out of your mind for this weekend. You can't do anything about it anyways, so giving yourself mini-strokes worrying about it won't help.

Thanks Sec, Appreciate it. It's been difficult to find out specifically what they test for with the GC/MS. Obviously I was concerned and now, thanks to you, I might be able to enjoy the rest of the day and sleep tonight. I'll post the results when in. Thanks again.

Hey Sec, Just a quick one for you. Others (on other boards) are saying that once it is confirmed it needs to go to gc/ms (as it will in my case because of the prescription) that they DO automatically test for all panels from the original UI screen, whether non-negative or positive panels from UI. I don't doubt what you are saying and it helped to put me at ease, but do you think there is a chance I might wake up and find out that they decided to test all the panels on the gc/ms? At which point the cutoff for thc would be 15ng/ml and I could potentially be screwed. Please tell me you know something these other guys don't! Thanks

No. Laboratories don't all of a sudden just out of the blue decide to break protocol and test in a different fashion. Given your stated history, even if they did run a confirmation on all panels, you would come up negative for THC. One hit on an otherwise clean body would not show on a drug test two weeks later. Don't worry where there is no need. Just be sure you have your prescription information (from the pill bottle) handy for when the MRO calls regarding your prescribed pills. They will most likely want to know when you took your prescription, how much you took, who prescribed it, what is the prescription number and the prescribing doctor and his/her number. Other than that, you have absolutely no worries if your history of marijuana use is accurate. RELAX, will ya? - ![]()
