I am on probation and had to go take a drug test today.Well the past 3 times I had to piss in a cup/they tested it instantly on site with a dipstick- always passed them.

Well, today my P.O. told me they are sending everyone's piss to a lab and not testing it instantly themselves anymore. I took 3 at home drug tests in the past few days and i passed all of them. However, i am very paranoid about them sending it to the lab-- Will they use the more advanced techniques they arent getting from a standard test? There were easily over 20 different samples from people in a bag and i know the methods are very expensive.... doesnt make sense. so im thinking will the lab just do a basic screening and if i test negative leave it at that? Since i passed all of the at home tests i hope i should be ok -- dont the labs cutoff levels have to be 50ng/ml and if i pass that they wont do further confirmation will they? Thanks for any help

The thresholds for lab tests are effectively the same as the thresholds for instant tests. The difference is that the lab will do all verification tests to make sure you're not diluting or adulterating the sample and will use a GC/MS analysis which is 100% reliable.

You should be OK if you're passing your home tests without dilution.

The laboratory charges for positive and negative drug tests are the same. One price per test, regardless of the results. It really isn't that expensive.

Here's my situation, my last post was very confusing i apologise-- but maybe i can get some more input here:

Im only concerned with THC:

1- i took 3 or 4 different at home test kits last week, starting Tuesday- and i passed all of them through the week. Test was on friday (usually instant dipstick at there site im on Probation, but this time they said all samples were being sent to lab) This freaks me out.... From what i understand, the labs Screen First and then do more Comprehensive (GC/MS) only if positive results from screen came up. So,i passed all my at home tests, and i passed one test at a local Dr's office the same day of piss test just to make me sane.

Well, this is consuming my mind and im very worried- Is this LAB TESTS going to be totally different? I'm concerned about the 50ng/ml vs. 15ng/ml. and especially the GC/MS... would they use this? They sent my sample along with about 40 others so im not so sure they're sitting their doing dipstick tests.
