I really hope someone can help me with this.

I quit smoking for a rather long time (6 months, and before that occasional), but in the last month have perhaps smoked about a gram. Suddenly I was offered a dream job and they wanted me to come in ASAP for a test, but fortunately I was very sick with a cold and they told me to do it after the weekend. By this time it had been about a week since i smoked.

I failed the first take home thc test from walgreens on a Friday, and passed a second on Sunday probably only because I diluted. I went in on Monday and the urine appeared quite yellow from the b-complex vitamins. HOWEVER, I was just informed that my sample was too watered down and I need to restest tomorrow morning! Eeeek!

So I just got back from walgreens with another test. While it is in the afternoon, I have not drank much water at all in the last two days, so I felt that my sample was not diluted at all.

1 line means FAIL
2 lines mean PASS

I see two lines, however, the important line is somewhat faded. I see it, but it does not stand out as much as the control line.

Are these tests reliable? Should I go out and take a creatinine supplement and do the b-complex vitamins tonight, with as much water as possible, then not drinking much in the morning?

Please help. This is a dream job and passing means more to me than anything. I don't think I would be given a third chance.

Oh, and if this information is relevant (I see other posters listing their body stats):

28 years old, 5'7 and 130 lbs (I have not been eating much at all this month, and have lost about 10 lbs )

See how the yellow color really doesn't matter in a lab test because they will measure specific gravity and most of the time creatinine clearance as well to check for dilution.

Here is one problem, water is not the preferred fluid. Sports drinks are, in order to help with specific gravity (SG).

A line is a line but as you mentioned, you didn't use the first void you used an afternoon void so even though you were aware of your fluid intake, there is a greater variance as to your fluid level or volume which may or may not affect the test.

Again, another error, it is not as much water as possible. The dilution method calls for measured amounts and sports drinks over water. Creatinine should have been used from the get go but if you don't have at least 24 hours to give your body time to metabolize the creatine to creatinine it is kind of pointless.

Not eating much protein may be affecting your creatinine clearance (lowering it).

Re-read the dilution sticky and follow it carefully or substitute.

I was only given 24 hours notice for a second attempt, so unfortunately subbing wasn't possible for me. The only thing I've drank in the last 18 hours is gatorade, a little bit of 100% pure cranberry juice, and taken some asprin following the advice from the diluting thread.... ohhh, if only I had found this site a week ago >.<

I took the very first part of the very first void of the day this morning and tested it just now with a second walgreens test. I see two lines (one is slightly faint, but there!) which mean I pass

Well I'm off to give them my third void. Cross your fingers for me

(It's a very small town so the clinic sends my sample to a lab 80 miles away. I will know probably Monday if I passed and let you guys know.)
