If the sample is found to be subbed or diluted, will the MRO contact you for a explanation or will they just tell your job you failed? ![]()

Not for diluted, but for substituted, positive, adulterated, the MRO should contact you.

Ok I gave a sample last friday, today is thursday if I haven't heard anything from a MRO or my employer, am I pretty much in the clear? It was a 5 panel urine test, I subbed with Quick Fix. Temp was perfect. Just triple checking.

What are you saying Sec? If you substitute the MRO should contact you? (w/QF or clean sample) Do you mean if the temp isn't correct or if the substitute didn't pass? Or is the MRO supposed to contact everyone passing or failed simply to ask questions about the sample?

Don't freak out. Calm down, breathe.... in.... breath....out... Substituted can be anything from being soooooo diluted that your creatine level is below 5 AND your specific gravity is also below a certain level (can't recall the exact level offhand). To be that diluted, you basically have to be pissing your way into the collection facility. There would be no way you could hold your bladder for longer than 20 minutes or so. Substituted can be that the temperature is so high that it can't possibly come from a human body (don't laugh, I have had some specimens given that have been in the 115 - 120 range). Substitution can be found if the pH level isn't within that of normal human urine. Synthetic urine is undetectable according to the testimonials here. Everyone who successfully gives a specimen with the correct temperature and has the collector accept their specimen, has passed using synthetic urine. Just because you actually substituted, doesn't mean they will find your specimen as substitute. The MRO will only contact a donor if the specimen is found to be substitute (see paragraphs above), adulterated, or positive for a banned substance. You are fine. Try not to dwell on the "what if's" and realize that you have passed.
