Three or four months ago I subbed my urine to pass a drug test at an investment bank to get a summer internship. My only question now is, what is the chance that they will test again during the course of my internship? I would assume that they would not want to waste the money testing an intern who will not be with them long-term. However, maybe they are more prone to testing interns because of higher drug use among students vs. adults. What does everything think about this topic?

My internship starts in a little over a month and I am trying to figure out if I should simply stop smoking or continue smoking. Has anyone heard of an intern getting drug tested without probable cause?

Thanks in advance everyone. I could not have passed my pre-employment test without all of you!

i am also an intern. ive interned 2 different places that make great money, and are like pretty much a govt job. ive never been tested after the first test, dont worry.

yeah, me neither. Once i passed the pre emp test last summer, they never asked me to do it again. I figure that they only tested me in the first place because they had to and if it was up to my boss he wouldn't have me tested. It's a waste of time and money.

You're good, I worked a summer at a well-known ibank and after that pre-employment test there's nothing else

Alright, thanks that makes me feel a little more at ease. I am assuming they will not test again, would definitely be a waste of money.

I might go ahead and get one of those synthetic urine bottles just in case I need to pea again though. What are the bottles that have the temp strip and everything on them already?
