| I decided I needed to quit smoking, it seems it's taking a toll on me. I've tried a vapo before and was thrilled with the clean feel it had. I've tried looking around but I'm still pretty clueless. I know I need a convection, but there are so many out there. Any advice would be awesome. Can I get a portable vapo? I mean, a battery operated. I want to be able to take it away from the car and house. What do you suggest? Has anyone quit smoking and only used a vapo? How do you find it? |

| I did just that and am very happy with the results. I still smoke on occasion if left with no choice but I almost always vape now. The difference is quite obvious and it feels like I dont smoke at all now. I actually smoke a LOT everyday too so that makes it even more impressive. It certainly feels alot more healthy than smoking to me! I wont go back thats for sure. As for vapes, there are a lot of threads here devoted to vapes. I suggest you look in the vaporizer section and do some reading. For some short answers though, here ya go. There is one battery operated vape, Vapir Oxygen, but the battery pack is largish. You can use a lighter/butane powered vape pipe also, which is the route I chose. Its pocketable like a regular pipe and requires no power source. Hope this helps some 'Toke

| I vape at home and roll joints if I want to leave the house and get high. It takes less than half as much weed to get high with the vape, so besides being easier on my lungs and giving a better high, my vape more than paid for itself with the first oz I vaped. I don't like to carry any paraphernalia with me. I don't know about where you live, but possession of paraphernalia is a much more serious crime than possession of marijuana in Ohio. That's why I prefer joints when I'm not in my own house. I can swallow a couple of joints in five seconds. I haven't used very many different models. I first tried one of those test tube things in which you put a pinch of bud and heat the outside of the glass with a butane lighter. It was very cheap and didn't work worth a damn. You'd either not get vapor or the weed would ignite most of the time. Then I got a BC Vaporizer, a conduction model. It was much better than the test tube but it was a pain to use. The weed not in direct contact with the heating element doesn't vape and the weed that is in direct contact has a tendency to burn. My first convection vape was a Vapor Brothers. It served me well for a couple of years and then broke down. I didn't send it for repairs because there was no way to clean the marijuana residue out of it and I didn't want to ship it that way. I replaced it with a Vapor Warez, a similar machine with an on/off switch, a better heating element, a better warranty, and its glass heater cover unscrews so you can clean it. I'd highly recommend this machine, which you can get for $120 delivered plus a couple of useful bonus items from vendors on eBay.

| To answer both of your questions, I have given up 90% of my smoking and have gone to vaping. I spend much less on "herb material" and feel 1000% better in the morning. No more serious flem. I just bought the Vapolution Vaporizer. I looked at vapes from $150-550 and ended up extremely happy with this one. For $150 you can get the unit from the manufacturer with one of their all-in-wonderbowls (instead of the basic package). They are the only ones that will make that switch for you. This is the only way to vape glass on glass. Which in my opinion gives you the cleanest hits possible. Don't mess with the hoses or smaller bowls. This is the way to go. The only thing to think about with the AIW bowl is that it's mildly fragile. The Vapolution comes with a car adapter which you can use in your car, boat etc. I didn't buy the battery pack beacuse it didn't attach to the unit and I thought that the cigarette adapter would be sufficient...which it was. I own a Vapir rechargable. Do not buy one. The battery last for 25 minutes!!! Super crappy. It also tastes like I'm brething in plastic. |

| For an affordable, battery operated, portable, your best choices are (for now) the Vapir Oxygen Mini, which will fit in a big pocket, and the Vapolution, which will take something like a backpack or camera case to carry around. Both use the same 10 cell, AA size, battery pack that'll give you about 2 hours of use. Vapolution has a new 'fast charger' that'll recharge the pack in 2-3 hours instead of the previous 24 hrs. The Vapir has a display, which, IMO, makes it less likely to hold up long term, so I'd only go with that one if the smaller size is important to you.

| Vape at home, use a portable (Oxygen Mini) for away games. Smoking is frustrating for me now because it's just not as effective and I feel kind of crappy to boot. |

| I got a vape a while back. And as everyone else says it is better all the way around than smoking but I still get nostalgic and have to roll a couple Js from time to time. Plus if I didn't I'd have to change my signature and " Vape Two Bowls" just doesn't have the same ring to it. ![]() .
