| Greetings folks So i finally received my VaporGenie handheld vape and I wanted to share my experience with it with all of you. So here it is. Its pocketable but pushing it if you have on tight clothes. It feels very sturdy and durable. Once you load it you cannot spill your herb, which is nice for pocketing on the go. The design is pretty cool and works well, as Ill get to later ![]() I now realize I should have included a coin or something for size comparison. I'd guestimate it at 5" long by 3.5" tall and about 2.25" wide at the bowl. Its very light, being made from wood, but is quite tough by the feel of it. It uses a ceramic stone/filter above the bowl to heat the herbs. The 'top' as I'll call it goes on and off easily with about a turn and a half. One down side is when you drop the top..it rolls! Go chase that thing before it gets away! Here are some shots of the ceramic with the pipe apart.. ![]() ![]() ![]() The last pic there is from the top down where you light it. Its about a 3/4" deep hole. You are supposed to get the flame down into this hole but not actually touch the ceramic according to the poor directions it came with. Regulating the heat hitting your herbs with this method will obviously require some time to get the hang of. I have already scortched my herbs once but am getting the hang of it. So hows it work?? It works pretty well actually. It has that wooden pipe taste that will slowly go away I imagine. Also the butane from the lighter taste like crap - i'll have to try a torch. It gives large hits and seems to heat the bowl evenly. It is not nearly as conservative on herb as my home electrics are, being almost as bad as smoking so far. I suspect this will improve as I learn to use it better. It certainly got me buzzed though and only off of 4 hits. It obviously works well but requires a bit of a learning curve. Its real easy to load and dump. Looks pretty easy to clean as well. Its perfect for quick stashing because the bowl is fully enclosed and wont spill when you toss it, etc. It is a bit big to hide in your pants pocket (obvious pipe-shaped bulge) but I suspect it would hit alot harsher if it was much smaller. As it is you can really feel the heat make its way to your mouth when using it. I suppose im spoiled from long whips at home ![]() So from my first and only tokin' experience with this thing I will give the following opinion(s). For a simple, portable, durable pipe that give vapors instead of smoke...this thing would be hard to beat. Perfect for active outdoor stuff or just vaping away from home to avoid smoking. It is not smooth hitting compared to home vapes or other less durable portables. Its not what i would call attractive to look at either. But these two things, along with the woody taste, are really the only negatives i see. It seems to fit my requirements very well! nutshell~ pros - vape with a lighter anywhere, pocketable, tough design good for outdoors, wont spill your bowl, easy/quick to use cons - a bit harsh (heat), not very stealthy, woody new-pipe taste, not good for hiding in pockets but fits them just fine, butane lighters taste like ass Hope this give some perspective to anyone considering buying this piece. I'll followup on it later. Feel free to ask any questions 'Toke

| Good job with the pics. Yes follow up once you've used it about a week or more. The review you give is about the standard for this pipe with the bottom line being it will get you some nice vapors if used right. I'd be very interested to see how the build up on it goes. With my VaporStar the stainless steel has very little build up at all even after a years use, it looks like a very thin film of clear/brownish varnish on the stainless but for how much its been used thats pretty impressive to me. I guess one question I would have is how well does the lighter flame dip down to the heat exchanger. the opening seem kinda big almost like you really have to pull hard to get that much airflow down inside thats just what it looks like from the pic, when you inhale does it pull the flame down into it or do you have to hold your lighter upside down shooting the flame strait into it while you inhale?

| Thanks for the compliment. Yea im not really looking forward to cleaning it but ill report on how it goes when the time comes. It shouldnt take too long around here. The opening definately does draw the flame down into the hole even without big tugs on the mouthpiece. It works better than it looks like it would but I see what you are talking about. I looked very hard at the vaporstar also. Looks like a better design but i wanted the durability of a pocket pipe. |

| How much did that run you? I saw you mention that you weren't looking forward to cleaning it. Does it seem like it will be a difficult task? It looks nice, and I'd love to have something portable, that's not an Ubie. Something I can afford...

| Sterbo - thanks mate. I look forward to your experiences with them. Vicki - I got it for $45 shipped from vapedaddy.com (which i wouldnt recommend - SLOW shipping). Most folks seem to have good luck ordering from the parent site VaporGenie The World's First Vaporizing Pipe but it costs $5 more I believe. Either way its pretty affordable. As for the cleaning, it doesnt look to bad. According to the website you never have to clean it if you do it right (suuure) but i would assume alchohol and pipe cleaners would be all it takes Toke |
